PC Player, Worth to Double Dip on PS5
So I have the game on PC and like my mouse and keyboard however I also greatly enjoy playing with a controller as well, it gives a different experience and I can enjoy it relaxed on the couch vs in front of my monitor on my desk. I did try hooking up my PC to a TV and using an Xbox Controller problem is I do feel at a disadvantage when using a controller (even with all the aim assists enabled) because I'm mostly thrown into PC lobbies where 90 percent of PC players use mouse and keyboard and I have to play the game much more cautiously and fearful to get a positive k/d when using a controller on PC.
The game on PS5 is about 40 percent off at Walmart for PS5 and I'm just wondering if it's worth it to get it on PS5 as well and disable cross play so I'm matched mostly with controller users (yes there will be some mouse and keyboard players but I estimate less than 10 percent on console). Money aside, problem is I am worried I will be thrown into bot only lobbies.
There was a free trial a few weeks back and with cross play off where I played on PS5, half the time I was thrown into mostly bot lobbies. Mind you this was the free trial playlist. I'm wondering if I will experience the same thing on the regular conquest playlist (90 percent of my games are conquest) on PS5 with cross play off. I hate bots in regular multiplayer matches and am at the opinion that is one of the reasons that BF 2042 is almost dead today (because after all DICE's bug fixes and updates it's not a bad game).
Another reason why I am considering paying again for the game is that there is full cross progression. I did the same thing for BF2042 and besides getting the PS5 version also got the PS4 version for free where it's cross play only between PS4 and Xbox one and believe it or not the old gen version has more players than the new gen and less likely to get thrown into bot lobbies in late 2025. However BF6 was never released on old gen so that avenue of playing on old gen is not available but at least it's cross progression.
