it doesn't make a difference brother that is a myth. without it there would not be alot of players on both sides. its unfortunate. The problem is the anonymity. Are you ready to give up your identity like verifying for the gov't to play in ranked matches? Ands pay for the privilege? I would, but I don't think most of you are ready yet. I've been waiting for almost 30 years now.

Are you replying to a different post? That doesn't make any sense.

Brother I replied to your post, and i'm not sure why you are in such denial. Cross play is literally keeping the game alive. Ands it sounds crazy if you are a PC player to be worried about controller players who are at a disadvantage to you. There is no debate for me. The joystick can't be as precise as a mouse and pad. they don't have as many keys on their keyboard, they don't have all the customizeable options, and their game probably runs slower, their monitor runs slower, their hardware runs slower.
brother here is my recommendation to you. get at least as 144hz monitor. get an 8000hz kb and mouse. I recommend the brand mchose. I have their L7 Pro +, its 39g brother. watch what a diffewrence it makes. turn on the motion sync, all the options to the highest settings. customize all your movement keys to be as fast as possible to your comfort with the magnetic swithces acctuation point settings. I have the mchose ace 68, with ice rhino switches. 28gf actuation hahaha. probably the lightest switches you'll find. 3.4mm travel. Because i'm an old 46 yr old with severe arthritis from broken hands and arms and years of gaming and typing super fast. Its painful for me to even type this to you on the forum right now. But yet, I'm still a decent player in BF, cause my smooth gaming pc and peripherals make the difference. I can barely move my hand but I'm playing just as good when I was younger lmao. I'm like a kid again man. Just even using another mouse on to browse hurts my hand now. I'm now looking into ergonomic keyboards, but for some strange reason most of them have heavy switches. So I'm just working on my posture.

As to your "Cross-play is keeping the game alive" here is the result from Grok when asked current BF player numbers. If EA/DICE care to actually share those numbers, we could know for sure, but this is all we can gather...
Platform Concurrent Players (Approx.) Notes/Sources PC (Steam only) 100,000–110,000 (current); 125,000–130,000 (24h peak) Live from SteamCharts (112k 1hr ago, 126k peak), SteamDB (102k current, 131k peak), ActivePlayer.io/Tracker.gg/LivePlayerCount (~104k–107k current, ~128k–130k peaks). Total PC 150,000–250,000 (estimate) Steam ~60–70% of PC (EA App/Origin adds ~50–100k); game is "PC-first" per analysts. Launch Steam peak 747k (all-time PC record); owners ~9–10M Steam alone. Console (PS4/5 + Xbox One/Series) 80,000–150,000 (estimate) No trackers; PS 30d peak est. 817k (model-based). Early sales: PS5 ~23%, Xbox ~20% (PC 57%). Trails COD on consoles (e.g., #6 PS/Xbox Nov free trial vs. COD #1–2); Xbox reports BF6 ~2x COD one week Nov. Crossplay lobbies PC-dominant per community. Total (All Platforms) 250,000–400,000 (peak hours) Aggregates; 30d avg ~120k–180k. Launch total shattered series records (~1M+). Dec low ~50k Steam (Dec 10); healthy queues via crossplay. PC-dominant: Unlike prior titles, BF6 sales/player peaks heavily PC-skewed (Steam records beat COD). Drops natural post-launch (~80% from 747k Steam peak), but stable ~100k Steam (beats many peers).
Console: Solid but secondary; no public live data. Engagement charts show behind Fortnite/COD; community notes fuller PC lobbies.
Fluctuates (weekends/Seasons higher, e.g., Nov peak 564k Steam); ~7M sold launch week. Track via BattlefieldTracker.gg (mixed leaderboards) or above sites.
So unless EA/DICE post the truth, PC being forced to use Cross-play is keeping the game alive.
