TruckerClint It doesn't sound like the flying itself is the biggest hurdle right now; it sounds like you're struggling to find enough uninterrupted seat time to even practice before the fight starts. Going from a joystick in BF2 to mouse and keyboard in BF6 is already a pretty big adjustment, so having to deal with spawn camping and experienced pilots at the same time definitely doesn't make that learning curve any easier. I couldn't use a kb/m to save my life in this game. I have always had to use a controller, and even then, it was an adjustment.
When you do finally get some time in the air, is it the jet handling itself that's giving you the most trouble, or things like lining up attack runs, managing speed, and winning dogfights? It might be useful to hear what setups or training routines other pilots are using as well.
One thing I'd be curious about is how other pilots got over that hump. For those of you who learned jets or helicopters in BF6, what helped the most: custom keybinds, specific maps, Portal experiences, or just lots of repetition?
