I was about to ask how to change my engineers gender back to male... I am getting pulled out of interest having to listen to an entire team of unenthusiastic female voices for the whole match. Women don't serve in frontline roles at a percentage to where I would hear NOTHING but female voices. This is it for Battlefield. It's 2042 with a reskin. This is their last chance.

I listen to enough female voices at home. I don't want to hear female voices in games. It should at least be optional.

Completely agree. Make it optional to have female voices. This has nothing to do with "hate". Men want to protect woman and children, then the last thing you want to hear is females screaming in pain. I get it, modern times there are females in the army, and I support that. However they are not on the frontlines and they hardly make any of the % in any army, but at the same time in multiplayer it's 80% female screaming, and screaming nonstop. It's very unsetteling to hear, we don't want to hear females in pain., and it's immersion breaking. Let us choose our gender, and let us choose to disable female voicelines.
If you make it optional everyone is happy. The people who want it, the people who don't want it. You wanted it to be like bf3 and 4. Your trailer was full of men fighting to lure people in, and then you make this move in multiplayer..without options. It's just deceiving. Listen to the players. Options are always good. Just like I wish there was an option to turn off damage numbers on infantry but turn it on on vehicles(just like bf1). Options Dice, options! Please listen to feedback

Everyone should have the option to choose how they want to play. It is not about being fragile, it is about giving players agency. EA should simply let us pick male or female characters, and that way everyone can enjoy the game the way they prefer. It is really that simple.

I have gotten used to it since the days of BFV and my brain just filters it out, but I do remember that back then I was finding distressing to hear a female voice screaming in pain. I would say that many guys do not like to hear the sound of a lady suffering.
It is not something about disliking ladies for being ladies like some people might frame it. If anything it is the extreme opposite of dislike that makes one feel some distress due to the sound of a lady in pain - cxp93 months agoSeasoned Newcomer
Yes... please add an option to select gender or something, in menu my guy is a man but in game I hear a woman, what is this?

Please don't insult users that request features.

I agree; after hours and hours of the beta, it is driving me insane. PLEASE let us turn it off.

I agree. I don't know why we cant specifically choose out character and filter the voices. Women make up not even 5% of the forces on the front lines yet the most voices in game I hear are women's screams.

agreed we should have the options

100% - as a battlefield vet me and my mate were gonna preorder last night before playing the beta but unless this changes we won't be. There's a bit of balancing to address but nothing that wouldn't be fixed over time, but this amount of female voices everywhere is literally ridiculous and off-putting!

Not trying to be offensive or anything, but there is NO CHANCE I am buying this game until this is added. The game is, for me, literally unplayable in the current state, I get anxiety attacks listening to constant woman screams for 30 minutes straight

So soft these people. "I listen to enough female voices at home. I don't want to hear female voices in games." You just hate women.
- mjourneyx3 months agoSeasoned Novice
Having spent the past 6 hours playing the beta I can honestly say that the female screaming and shrieking is way over the top to the point of being unsettling. Having the ability to filter this out is a completely common sense approach to retain players. If this isn't implemented, you've lost me as a player.

i can only agree.

Women in fact dont serve in frontline combat roles at all.

I have nothing against women, the problem is the game sounds more like a maternity ward because of female characters screaming, not like a real war. It really ruins the experience
- TRBZNOF3 months agoSeasoned Scout
Who said I hate women? I don't want to hear women's voices, at least not in the games I play. That's my choice. If you noticed, I wanted it to be at least an optional option. For example, FC 25 FUT! Do men and women have to play football at the same time? What are they trying to prove?

I respect women and Iām not against female characters in games, but I personally find the screaming and dying voice lines in BF6 jarring. It honestly puts me off playing. Sexual Violence is unfortunately one of the horrific realities of war and when I hear women screaming in a warzone, it reminds me of that nightmare reality. I don't want to hear that after my 9-5 grind when I'm trying to relax. For me, it breaks immersion, feels bad and its hard to ignore, especially since in real-world warzones, women are far less likely to be on the front lines in most armies. In my country, for example, only men can be conscripted. Please just give us an option, I don't see what the issue is unless someone on the team trying to push their feminist/woke/political psy-op agenda. Remember who is paying for this.

Also.. Literally no one asked for this to be a thing anyway. At least not a Battlefield player, HR doesn't count
