Re: Security Requirements on BF6 on PCs!

This is more likely a message to EA/Dice but also a little guide for people having problems with Secure Boot.

First of all, 100.000s of people won't be able to play the Beta because they don't have Secure Boot enabled and don't want to play around in their BIOS. Why don't have an Anti-Cheat like Vanguard, which doesn't want you to change settings in your BIOS? Also a common feature like ReSize Bar doesn't work.

Now to the guide:

In order to play Battlefield 6, you have to manually allow Secure Boot in your Mainboards BIOS. To enable that, you'd have to check if your disks are set on GPT by pressing Windows + R and typing in diskmgmt.msc

Go to display and sort the disk list. Locate the SSD/HDD which runs Windows and check if it's set on GPT or MBR. If it's set to MBR, you have to change it to GPT by opening Command Prompt with admin rights and type in this command: mbr2gpt /convert /disk:n /allowfullOS (YOU HAVE TO REPLACE THE "N" WITH THE NUMBER OF THE DISK YOU WANNA CONVERT) You won't lose any data.

After doing so, shutdown your PC and get into your BIOS (Mostly by spamming the DEL key). Find the Boot Settings and disable CSM in order to enable Secure Boot. If you have ReSize Bar enabled, disable it, it won't work otherwise.

In most cases it should allow you to play the Beta now. I hope this was some kind of helpful and EA should definetly fix this Anti-Cheat until 2nd beta weekend latest, otherwise this game will lose a major playerbase. It took me 2 hours to set it up.

When I enable secure boot on my bios it wont boot windows. Have to reset pc and turn secure boot off so itll boot up. Any idea what could be causing it? Anytime I look it up I find people telling people how to reset CMOS but not actually fix the Secure Boot issue.

Have you tried disabling CSM and ReSize Bar? My PC also didn't boot up when having both Secure Boot and CSM disabled

This is gonna lose them so many potential buyers. My brother can't get it to work. Gigabyte moba ( b550 gaming x on win 10)  and it just doesn't want to enable secure boot, and if it does it goes in a startup loop. Aside from that he can't get his disk from MBR to GBT. He followed a whole guide, several even, and bricked his pc. He had to flash his bios to get his pc back to work. He really wanted to play BF6 but lost all motivation to do so. So much work to play a game , and still it doesn't work. Why didn't they just make some thing like Vanguard indeed. Shame because now we can't play together when BF 6 launches.
