Save Battlefield 6

Battlefield is primarily a game of all-out vehicular warfare. It's what makes this game stand apart from other mainstream shooters. Its most popular game modes revolve around this type of gameplay, where infantry and vehicles cooperate to win the objective.

Battlefield 6 in its current state leans away from this gameplay style, at its core, favouring infantry gameplay generally over vehicles, and specifically air vehicles. The reason for this is some fundamentals of the game have been changed and it is making the game not enjoyable for veterans.

The first change is the small size of the maps, not giving room for air vehicles to maneuver for different approaches to targets. The air boundaries are too tight in most maps. This is really hurting the air vehicle gameplay due to the numerous threats concentrated in a small area. This issue is also impacting ground vehicle gameplay negatively.

The second change, and this one is crucial to the longevity of the game, is the limited range and inconsistent behaviour of the C-RAM at HQ. This protection mechanism is not providing effective protection and therefore allows enemy air vehicles to attack the base killing friendly vehicles, ground and air, before takeoff or at spawn. This is game breaking and needs to be changed as soon as possible.

The third issue is the unlimited range and proliferation of TOW/Aim Guided missiles in the game, combined with their ease of use, causing those vehicles which have them to remain in spawn camp and simply target air and ground vehicles and infantry from the safety of their HQ. This deprives the friendly team from those vehicles and is also lopsided against the enemy team's air vehicles specifically. If both sides engage in the same activity then air vehicle gameplay is completely nullified.

All of the above turns the game into something other than Battlefield, and is a sure way to lose the fans of the series.

Please fix the game by making these most immediate changes:

  1. Expand air boundaries
  2. Fix C-RAM effectiveness, consistency and range
  3. Reduce range of TOW/Aim Guided missiles at which they can be accurately controlled

Longer term changes would be to give the community bigger maps in addition to the above fixes.

Thank you for taking our views and feedback as valuable input to help make Battlefield better for everyone.

    Agreed.

Also, Engineer gadgets need some love. Right now there is no reason to not run the RPG. So, there is a ton of RPG usage, and it makes them a serious threat against helicopters (I know because I do it frequently).

I'm not saying RPGs need to be nerfed, I think they are actually in a good place (against vehicles, it actually needs a small explosion radius buff against infantry I think); but there needs to be something that draws some engineers away from running the RPG, because maps with lots of engineers are over saturated with RPGs.

If the Javelin were better, I bet many would use Javelin instead of RPG against tanks (especially "Tank Snipers"), and it would lower the volume of RPGs on the field (which would ease up the amount of RPGs being shot at helicopters); but as it stands, Javelin is hot garbage and you are better off just running the RPG.
