The fact that you had to pull up that wiki definition means that you don't have a clue what I am talking about. It's kind of funny, because if you had actually read the entire article instead of just the first paragraph, you would have understood what I meant.
Suppression in the context of Battlefield games is not just the tactic that you were describing, it's an effect that can be applied to you, similar to how touching fire temporarily sets you on fire. In Battlefield 6 stops health regeneration and in previous Battlefield titles affected things like spread increase, sway and blur.
I am fully aware of the suppression effects and how they work and assumed you did too, and I replied to what was the relevant part of what was being discussed which was the act of suppression not the effects of the mechanic.🤷♂️
