Settings binds reset why?

I had been playing BF6 off and on all day then just after midnight I launched BF6 and the spacebar did not work to get me past the intro.  Turns out all my player control settings were reset.  Graphics and alike seem fine but player movement etc. all reset.  And, if a bind was not being used the word UNBOUND is now in the field and greyed out.  Anybody else have player movement reset and now this UNBOUND for unused?  And I am new to BF6 and had not backed up my PROFSAVE.
