Spotting mechanics feedback

Instead of the prevailing orange squares over enemy nicknames, or appearing on the minimap as a dot, I suggest more graphical and sound cues.

Current minimap dotted spots (triggered by firefights) help mostly skilled players, because they rank up fast and get weapon unlocks sooner as suppressors. Also, skilled players will put tactical info to use more likely.

Once a skilled player gets a suppressor on every weapon, the sky is the limit; rookies stand no chance because a suppressor has an enormous advantage. The player with a suppressor vanishes from the minimap and cannot be heard easily. I would disable completely minimap spots when taking fire or firing, and leave everyone in uncertainty. Level plain game with fewer minimap spots.

Players still might be manually spotted by the player or equipment, not because he commits to shooting at someone, as in BF1. Players should always rely more on the gun sounds, footsteps, and dialogues in a foreign language (is it even an optionin BF6?). Gun muzzle flashes with coming smoke, light that spreads in dark corners after firing, must be more obvious. Gadgets and UAVs, putting actual equipment to use. I am sure that minimap spots put weaker players into disadvantage rather than help them.

With a higher TTK/TDD, low-recoil guns, finding a player in plain sight is extremely crucial; peeking at the minimap becomes a secondary action in searching for the red dots.

I believe that 3D spotting should work within a Squad and squad members in all instances... to make even more incentive to cooperate together. I spot a lot across the map randomly, and unaware players just die due to my rapid spotting. I feel bad for them; perhaps snipers should stay 3D spotted across the map no matter what, or players on deployed bipods, and vehicles.

BF1 does a great job, and BF2 does. My gut feeling tells me that the current spotting system is a bit broken and too arcadey.

Another thing is the uniforms and skins that do not help with the identification of the foe from the friendly. Devs think the game with more hanging triangles and dots on the minimap helps less avid players, but I think it is the opposite.
