Stacked teams still 20 years later after DDOS got too strong...
Back in the olds bf2 and CS days, we had server mods to ensure fair play. Specifically for BF we had things like auto kicks for base graping, autokicks for vehicle stealing, I mean you name it under the sun. and most of all auto team balancers. There was none of this "i wanna play with my friends and pwn noobs non competitive sociopathic behavior. The same algorithm and mod was used in both bf ands cs communities. There were tons of good admins. Community leagues in BF. In BF2 I remember one awesome one was Texas Teamplayers before they were sold.
But what ruined gaming, was DDOS attacks. that was the end. First Russia ruined the internet with the spamming. So no more forums and chatrooms. Then the DDOS attacks ruined the rest of it. when we literally had millions playing CS in NA alone at any given time. Was the woke ideology of not allowing us to "close our borders" (servers), because we hurt peoples feelings and its immoral to ban people who are "too good" from the server. The Community run leagues of counterstrike back in the day were never matched. The community run leagues of online sports games like tw08, was never matched.
ANd its all because the government has turned a blind eye for 25 years, saying they are just kids (Comey) ands its a victimless crime. Meanwhile they are taking food out of babies mouths this holiday season. Should be a billion dollar industry feeding others. Everything has consequences and judgement. We use to play with people in our own towns. When I lived in NYC, I met a guy online hosting a server online with tons of people in my own hood lmao. now we lucky to play with someone in our own state. In fact this is the first time I'm seeing we playing with bots and the game company is not pretending about it. lmao. And its the same people for the past twenty years stacking the teams saying "its just a game"... not every stacker is a hacker, but every hacker is a stacker by their nature, but the former is actually worse for the community, then they are if properly skill matched. Its a real shame.
Quake Live when it first came out (I go back to doom and duke nukem lan parties and q1 online), had a Stat tracker created by gaimtheory I think they were called, a company of gamers who became sports teams, and casino owners, and iD themselves never trusted in it, never gave a shot, but it was the most accurate skill rating system ever created. but they never took it serious or even applied it, and they missed their chance to change the world. Now we still going on this path of thinking its immoral to even show stats, because we know, it exposes how infested these games are. Now you can say you stopping cheaters, but human beings are blessed with a gift of sense by God and we can just tell when something is unnatural or inhuman, especially from experience.
I'm still waiting for the day, when a game company will grab its balls, It wasn't Riot who made a run in 2014 which only lasted a year before the smurfers destroyed it, wasn't chess unfortunately, but someone to say we are going to verify identities like the gov't and you are going to pay us for the privilege to play in our ranked league. Seriously. Even Facebook asks for birth certificates sometimes haha. Its the future, because this is public, and this is raising our babies. The world is about to self destruct, and for 30 years I said online gaming is a microcosm of whats to come if we keep ignoring it.
