Re: Strike Point No Longer Feels Tactical
The new strike point rules are a major disappointment. The mode now feels less like Battlefield and more like a basic King of the Hill match where the primary objective is simply spending the most time on the point. While objective play should absolutely matter it shouldn't come at the expense of the strategy teamwork and class balance. Battlefield has always been at its best when different roles contribute to the victory in different ways. Snipers provide OverWatch, support players keep squads, and coordinated teams execute tactical place. Under the current system many of those contributions feel secondary because the mode heavily rewards rushing and sitting on the objective. The result is a less tactical and less enjoyable experience that doesn't reflect what makes Battlefield unique. I hope the development team takes another look at the scoring and objective mechanics because in this current state strike point feels like a step backwards. If this is the direction the mode is heading I'll be spending more time back in Call of Duty rank play.
