I don’t understand your desire to unlock attachments with bots but I understand your point. However, I only came to this because I have now lost a major value in the game because of bot farmers. If you want attachments go out and play for them like everyone else.

For me, the reason is time. Weapon attachments increase your power, creating an unfair advantage over those that don't have them. The amount of time people have to play varies, so the power level of each player now varies. To get back on even footing, people were resorting to playing against bots - which I'm learning is different to bot farms - but that same need is at the core of both.
If you can grind for power, it naturally creates an imbalance, and people will obviously use any means at their disposal to get more power faster. Then it gets much harder to "play for them like everyone else", because everyone else has an advantage over you, and you'll spend a lot more time dead, making it take longer to level up to a fair fight.
