So I just found out and verified that there are no bots allowed on verified portal experiences. The option to backfill is greyed out.
So what's the point of portal? Even MP has bots. No bots at ALL? How do you plan to fill your servers?
I thought we'd be able to unlock weapons and attachments vs bots. What happened to that? I'm old. I wear bifocals. I have arthritis. I have nerve damage. I bought this game thinking I could play vs bots like in 2042.
Instead, I have two choices: go into MP where I can't unlock anything because I get killed every 20 seconds by people sprinting and sliding and bunny-hopping all over the place like crazy and coming at me from literally every direction, or play portal for no xp, no unlocks, no rewards.
Dice, I'm disappointed.

because people found a way to bypass their xp nerf and still farm even faster with bots
Disable achievements and weapon upgrades and leave only experience for player rank. Just like it was in 2042.

Exactly. Why is there no official single player pve mode like 2042 had. If we had this, we wouldn't even need portal for bots. Until they add a mode like 2042 had, they should just allow the bots. Frustrating.
I'm thinking they have some strange people making these decisions.
Not only that, but, they are now going back on what they advertised we would be able to do. I call that misleading and false advertising, not to mention straight out lying.

It's them listening to the twitchy run-and-gun K/D kiddies who are stomping their little feet and crying about how "unfair" it is for people to progress by playing in legitimate servers against bots. These are the same whiners that jump around exploiting the game mechanics instead of playing like an adult.

2042 brought in cross play and forced us to play with people from all over the world regardless of ping. So like many here I only ever played 2042 PVE the connections are so inconsistent playing against players was next to impossible unless they had their back to you and were stood still.
Single and coop mode has gone.....now bots have gone and there is no server browser and the only choice is the Mickey mouse servers.
This game is going to get boring very quickly. This is from a battlefield player from all the way back to BF2. Played 100s probably 1000s of hours. If I knew this is what I was going to get I would not have bought it.

Rumors around saying its because these **bleep** want to milk the seasons by getting players to purchase boosts. They could literally sell this for a type of PVE Boost if the rumors are true. Enable the bots back, sell or let us obtain PVE boosts that grant full xp/progression against said bots mode as probably a way forward.

This is straight against EU Laws so you can get the 100% refund in this case.

Agreed, I don't want to panic and was patient when my wife and I would have to spam a host button for 30-60 min a night just to get to play a match. Didn't go online with outrage and tried to give some compassion while they ironed out the kinks with a new game. However ,I cannot even get a basic game of breakthrough with bots - no progression - to work now.
I simple yes we will bring bots back or no we won't would suffice, so I could move on or wait patiently.

I really regret to buy this game instead of borderlands 4. They promising for pve players for play with your way who want relax and chill gameplay, i really dont care about K/D ratio and your stupid pvp who toxic and insulting players. I'm a bit old man, my reflexes and perseption not good as a young. have 2 child, i just want to play 1 or 2 hours for relaxing after bored/tired day, i played a lot bf2042 with just solo/coop mode thats make me happy and relax. Yes pvp make me outrage and angry. Hell even i miss initial breaktough. All of my fun is gone
Bots were the only mode I was enjoying the game. I am not that good at this against real ppl. It's sad to see they are gone now. I wish I could get a refund. :-(
