Just make the bot experience a standalone solo/coop experience where players can upgrade their weapons in this experience and not being able to use it online. Its as simple as that instead of punishing bot lovers, older people and people with a physical handicap.
That's not a fix and isn't going to bring any of us back to Portal.
Seriously, why is that with CoD... I can play Zombies mode and get a slightly lower progression and there isn't some big outcry to people being able to play that mode mostly to level weapons?
2 fixes is all that was needed IMO:
Instead they screw over a huge portion of the community, go tone deaf and even went out of their way to disable bot fill within Portal all together. If this is what they want people to remember when the next BF launches... it's going to pay off well for them.

Lol no you shouldn't disable the SDK tools, what an awful suggestion.
We're actively trying to make genuine experiences and awesome maps in it and need access constantly because it takes a LONG time to make some good maps from their poor tools.
You can make a bot farm without the SDK, just turn resapwn rate to instant and give them 10% dmg/hp....
It's not a map developing issue, it's the obvious use that was always going to exist. Just disable K/D from bots and call it a day
