So I just found out and verified that there are no bots allowed on verified portal experiences. The option to backfill is greyed out.
So what's the point of portal? Even MP has bots. No bots at ALL? How do you plan to fill your servers?
I thought we'd be able to unlock weapons and attachments vs bots. What happened to that? I'm old. I wear bifocals. I have arthritis. I have nerve damage. I bought this game thinking I could play vs bots like in 2042.
Instead, I have two choices: go into MP where I can't unlock anything because I get killed every 20 seconds by people sprinting and sliding and bunny-hopping all over the place like crazy and coming at me from literally every direction, or play portal for no xp, no unlocks, no rewards.
Dice, I'm disappointed.
Even BF 2042 struggled with similar issues... and they fixed it in the end.
And now they try to reinvent the wheel... and make things worse and worse... and they think they are listening to the correct people...
They will fail so badly :D I saw sooo many people who quit playing after they removed the bots option.
DICE and EA... once again: People want to have a PVE-like experience. People just want to enjoy playing with their friends or solo. No stress, no drama, just enjoy the game.
It doesn't matter that it takes long. We were not complaining. Against bots it even takes days or weeks to fully complete just a single gun to level 50...
We like to play all kinds of weapons and to master them all.
PVP mostly is about using the one meta weapon everyone is using... because even if you try, there will always be one weapon that is better than the rest.
But this is not us. We have fun leveling and grinding all the weapons, even if it takes long. We would play your game for ages - but against bots.
If you take this away, you will lose MANY players. I think roughly 20% of players or even more will quit your game, rate it to hell, and try other legal stuff to refund, etc.
It will cost you everything.
But we already had a good solution!
Just restore it, or change it so we get like 50-75% of XP on bot servers. There ARE ways!
Listen to us, otherwise you will go down a path of no return...
