Nah, it's an incredibly common thing with EA.
They go silent on issues that are an uproar to the community, which they won't address.
Silence is their medicine; they wait it out, and have done so many times.
Then they release a new game with a ton of lies and false promises, draw everybody in to the dream, steal from their wallets and ditch them again. This has happened numerous times and they've well learned the routine.
The community says a whole lot like "I'll never buy an EA product again", but how many people stick to that? I'd encourage people stick to their intent and never buy from EA again. They are going to steal, lie, and scam from people intentionally. They always have. They're about the money far more than anything else.
Games used to be people putting their heart into making something awesome so people could have fun. The dev's themselves shared the dream and inspiration to enjoy it. It's only about $$$ to EA, and that's why you're guaranteed that they won't change - they'd have to fire everybody in control, including themselves.
Yeah the thread on these forums last year for missing player editing in CFB 25 had a ton of attention as well. One of the community leaders chimed in once to say he was passing feedback on and then nothing. The feature was patched in 2-3 months later without any announcement. So it's possible they do address it at some point. But they have terrible communication with their community and don't give updates or timetables. I mean they already gave a conflicting answer on this. A community leader said they were testing for re-implementation of backfill with full XP with some safeguards to more properly identify farming servers, but then BF's official social media make it seem like they're just moving on from the issue.
