Bot fill is now set to 2 human players per team in Portal. I just updated a few of my verified map experiences. Not exactly what we want, but it makes it mathematically possible to start a game. I didnt see the change documented anywhere but maybe whoever changed it can just set it to 0. lol ;)
Well, as expected, EA/Dice humped the pooch again and did it with a big smile and no thank you. Until they get rid of the sheety minimum human players, they can stick it up their backsides and F off. They have happily stolen my money based on their promises that they went back on when I prepurchased the game and changed the rules after the deadline for a refund from the various platforms. So again, F them! Will not reinstall, will not purchase anything for the game and will NOT purchase any other EA/Dice game. They hate their base, delivered a mediocre game, NOT a BF game. No large maps and solo/private play removed as it has always been in the previous BF games.
I tried it last night and it seems we need 4 players to start now.
Can you confirm this?
The experiences I linked can be started with 1 person.
In general, no, you don't need 4 people to start. Specifically, you may have certain limits that EA constantly changes, if you want weapon mastery or challenge progression. But, if all you want is to play and are fine with just rank XP, you can and have always been able to solo start a custom server.
I created a server with generic settings and it said full progression. When I went into it says 4 people needed to start.
