Another month has passed, and EA/DICE still hasn't done anything about the PORTAL mode.
Is there something seriously wrong with them? Or do they deliberately want to bury this title forever?
Their current "development" path makes no logical sense – they don't want to attract people to buy their game, and therefore, buy cosmetic add-ons...
Have they already come to terms with complete failure, despite their initial sales success?

For a global, AAA game, those are stark numbers and an epic fall. It feels like this game is managed by an Indian, scam call center, just trying to steal your money with fake premises and lies. They got us to open our bank accounts and then proceeded to steal our money with no intention of delivering on what was promised. Even the bait and switch of the first couple of weeks when the portal was exactly what it was supposed to be. But after the initial "refund" time expired, the demon was unmasked and we were all left in the lurch.
To answer your question, yes there is something wrong with them, a lack of morals business ethics. They want to pick this BF animal's bones clean and move on, like a scavenger.
There is no logical reason for them to not revert the portal to what it was in release week. So few play the game now. So much is broken and not "true to the roots of what Battlefield was", another broken promise, that it would not affect anyone anymore. They did not like the "farm" servers. Well the hackers got around that with all the hack tools available, see YouTube vids, that it really is a moot point to continue to limit/nerf the portal any longer. Not it seems that since they made the decision to do so, their evil pride will not let them go back and reset it to what it was and should be.
