Hello everyone,I am extremely disappointed, and I know I'm not alone, with the decision to drastically reduce XP progression and unlocks on PVE Portal servers. This reversal, just days after launch, is a massive blow to the community and directly contradicts the promises made about the Portal feature.1. The Broken Promise of "Full Progression"Portal was introduced as the ultimate sandbox, guaranteeing full progression regardless of the mode chosen. This was one of the biggest selling points for a large segment of the player base. The current implementation severely penalizes players who simply want to enjoy the PVE experience, learn new weapons, or progress at their own pace without the pressure of PVP.2. The Nerf Solved Nothing and Punishes Honest PlayersThe rush to "fix" XP farming has not resolved the underlying issue and has caused collateral damage:The Problem is the System, Not the Players: The initial XP farms were a predictable consequence of the tool. The fact that the server capacity issue is still prevalent shows that the XP nerf was a misguided attempt to mask a systemic infrastructure problem, not a solution to farming.Ineffective Measure: The XP farm servers are still over-capacity or have simply adapted to the new restrictions. Legitimate PVE players, however, are now left with a pointless grind.3. This Drastic Nerf Will Kill PortalUltimately, this broad nerf will do far more harm than good by killing the incentive to play the mode for the vast majority of users. Why would players spend time in Portal when their time spent is no longer respected by the progression system? Good community maps and genuinely fun PVE experiences will not be played under these conditions. Progression is the engine of engagement. By throttling it globally, you ensure that Portal, one of the game's key selling points, becomes a deserted ghost mode.Proposed Solutions: Restore Trust and ProgressionInstead of penalizing everyone, we urge the development team to adopt a multi-pronged approach that restores the promised progression for legitimate PVE play while seriously monitoring abuse.A. Restore Legitimate PVE ProgressionRe-enable Full XP on Official Game Modes: Progression (Full XP, Weapon Masters, Unlocks) must be fully restored for Portal experiences based on the official game types, even with AI bots filling the slots (i.e., Conquest, Rush, Breakthrough, Escalation, Team Deathmatch, FFA, and King of the Hill), in both Normal and Hardcore settings.Reinstate Solo/Co-op Mode: The dedicated Solo/Co-op vs. AI mode should be restored to Full Progression. This is the intended way for players to chill, learn the maps, and progress their unlocks without any impact on the live server environment.B. Target Abusers, Not the CommunitySerious Monitoring of Abusive Experiences: Implement active and immediate monitoring to identify and de-list or restrict XP only on custom servers that clearly use exploitative or non-conventional rule changes (e.g., 1-HP bots, instant respawns, AFK loop setups).Re-evaluate Unlock Requirements: Acknowledging the slow pace of unlocks, some Tier 1 requirements and attachments are currently an excessive "grind fest." Please take this opportunity to re-evaluate the requirements to make the core progression path less frustrating, reducing the incentive for players to seek out farming exploits in the first place.This community bought the game based on the promise of Portal's freedom and "full progression." We need you to deliver on that promise with targeted, effective solutions, not a blanket nerf that harms your loyal players.Thank you for your time and consideration.

As the title already says, the changes to XP for bot kills should be reverted or adjustedWhy? Quite simple: the game was marketed and sold with the clear intention that normal progression would be possible in the verified Portal mode.The changes to XP from bot kills contradict this statement and the related product descriptions.I don’t have enough time to unlock all the attachments in PvP to stay competitive — the same goes for the challenges. Thru my limited time, I already gotin laser beamed thru weapons with full attachments.Therefore, this description of the product was one of the main reasons I decided to buy the game.Are XP farm servers with weird custom scripts a problem?Yes, they definitely are.But normal experiences without any special scripts or other nonsense are completely acceptable. Therefor change the xp from 10 to 50 (as a compromise) or reverd them. We already got the problem that we cant host a portal server because of the limited hosting slots.. which negativ impact is already enough.Players like me, also purchased your game (under your marketing premise) so dont threat us like customers of the titanic third class. Why you asking? Becaus we are going to spend money also on battle passes and co.. but some will not if you den reverd your xp nerf and if you dont come up with more portal slots.

You've just completely screwed over a large portion of the player base just now by turning off weapon and attachment XP in portal servers. I don't have time to play this game all day every day. I will never be able to be on par with other players without being able to unlock attachments and weapons faster. It takes incredibly long in a normal match for casual folks like me to unlock stuff. I am a legitimate player who plays breakthrough and conquest matches against bots. I am too old and this game is sometimes too fast for me. I just want to relax after work and kill some bots with my friends, or by myself. Now, i can't. I'm out until this is changed. This was the last straw for me. EA just completely screwed a lot of us over.

So I just found out and verified that there are no bots allowed on verified portal experiences. The option to backfill is greyed out.So what's the point of portal? Even MP has bots. No bots at ALL? How do you plan to fill your servers?I thought we'd be able to unlock weapons and attachments vs bots. What happened to that? I'm old. I wear bifocals. I have arthritis. I have nerve damage. I bought this game thinking I could play vs bots like in 2042.Instead, I have two choices: go into MP where I can't unlock anything because I get killed every 20 seconds by people sprinting and sliding and bunny-hopping all over the place like crazy and coming at me from literally every direction, or play portal for no xp, no unlocks, no rewards.Dice, I'm disappointed.

I have played every battlefield since BF2. And I have some serious concerns...Regarding the new patch that's about to be released in Battlefield 6: u/battlefield (Reddit)We are developing adjustments that are intended to diminish the number of XP farms taking up server space while further emphasizing playing with friends on both custom and verified experiences. For context: From what people have said after this announcement, including some moderators, Dice plans to remove XP gains from servers with a higher ratio of bots than players.My friends and I have been very much enjoying the game in somewhat populated community servers, against both players and bots. We have no where near a great Kill/Death ratio, and the bots provide good competition for us; As in, we die a lot, even with the bots. The players in these games are mostly like us, fun to talk to, and nothing is ever serious. Occasionally someone shows up that's extremely skilled, but it's not very often. 'Pro' players seem to stick to 'pro' modes. Mostly it's casual players in our games.I'm super concerned about Dice's decision to take action against players like us who according to them are "Farming XP". I assure you that we are not farming XP. We are not the one person off in the distance going 200-0 in empty servers where they am the only person there. We do not join empty servers. We find servers with 10-20 players, and join in. Sure, there's sometimes more bots than real players, but the server is far from "empty". Usually there are more players than bots as the server fills up.Casual players need to "Get Good". Or we are not allowed to play for experience anymore.The competitive servers in the game, the ones the game puts you in by default, some of us are completely outclassed by players with much higher skill levels than ourselves. We do not have any sort of fun against these people sometimes. By the time we even think about firing our weapons we are dead. I understand that it's a multiplayer game, but for some of us, we do not have fun in those games. To play in those games, we're forced to not play with a gun, and instead use tactics to farm experience with gadgets and spotting. In those games, we end up being that person farming EXP because some of us are not skilled enough to bring a gun into battle. The thrill that we get "helping our team" with spots, assists, or revives gets old tho. Do you think it's fun the players that end up at the top of the scoreboard with almost no kills, and all assists? Sure it helps our teams win. But it's not what the game is about. Sometimes we like to play the game and be on the front lines too, ya know? And you're saying that are we not allowed to do that anymore.So, that means that we cannot progress anymore because a few people took it upon themselves to excessively farm XP and ruin the game for everyone? Is that fair to murder our experience because they cannot be satisfied with 'good enough' and have to resort to unfair XP progression methods? The only reason that many of us preordered this game, and paid the full $100 was because Dice promised us all that we'd be able to play the game our way, and gain weapons, gadgets, and progression any way that we wanted to. Now they are going back on their word and breaking that promise. If they remove EXP gained from bot players, then it will affect everyone. We'll never be able to experience the battle in a meaningful way. We'll never have a goal to work toward. And we'll have no reason to play the game. Dice seem to be taking the side of the Karen's that will whine and complain about everything. Even after removing everything, these players will still be Karens, and they'll still find something to complain about. I personally love the game. I have issues with certain things, even enjoy the competitive servers. But that's due to my own skill with a gun in the game and that's enjoyable to me. But, Dice doesn't seem to care about what the casual players think anymore. And that's very concerning. They'll just keep bending over backwards for the people with the biggest mouths. It's a pretty bad business model when you start excluding players because of the Karen's in your audience.Personally. I do not care that some players feel the need to brag about their 10:1 Kill Death ratios on reddit / facebook to intentionally bait people into arguments. Their insane KDR doesn't affect any of us. I don't complain about it. Everyone knows how they got it, it's not like it's some kind of big fat secret. They farmed bots to get it. We all know, and for the most part, your players do not care how they got it. If you remove the XP for all because of a very small handful of the player population. That will affect myself and my friends. And I do not like this new direction that Dice is taking. Suggestion:If you want to limit the number of EXP farm servers, just remove servers from the list if they don't have any population for 24 hours. Take the experience down. Oh, and bring back server hosting. There are literally huge communities of players that would be more than happy to pay you directly to keep their server up 24/7. A lot of your negative feedback is actually coming from those players who cannot pay for their own server but would be more than willing to. And are instead forced to be in the public lobby, where they cannot even access their own 'experiences' because of all of the empty servers that are filling the list. Your problem isn't the XP farm servers, your problem is too many empty servers.

That’s how you choose to play I would rather play bots with my friends and not be locked out of progression because I don’t want to work a 12 hour day and come home and get sweated out by no life’s. If anything reduce the do a little not a lot to make it pointless to play but to try to balance the do gain between portal and multiplayer
