From the open beta it felt like it was a pain to kill someone but easy for you to get killed.

During the Beta some rounds felt great, others, people were eating 15+ bullets dead center and not dying. Felt exactly the same as 2042. Like your experience, I was dying instantly.
I feel like I get one match out of a hundred that feels amazing in 2042. People will actually die in a single burst from a weapon. It feels like I'm playing a completely different game, like Counter Strike. However, most matches, the first few bullets I hit an enemy with will get completely ignored until the server decides to get around to calculating the damage. This happens most engagements. There's a noticeable lag with 25-35ms of ping and no packet loss.
The more I play 2042 waiting for BF6, the more I'm thinking about refunding it. I finally caved and bought it yesterday after hearing about the updates. This desync though, it just sucks all the fun out of the game. Makes everything feel so mushy, floaty, and detached.
I see players running in the open, doing slide jumps, getting insane shots, but the game won't allow me to play like that. Before I peek a corner, I'll get beamed and killed in a single frame. Like the prediction is saying I already went past the wall, when on my screen I was going to, but hadn't got there yet. I feel like I'm losing my mind with how absolutely trash this networking is.
