When the game was working correctly, TTK felt spot on.
Lowering the TTK has a few negative effects. First, it lowers the skill gap. Tracking is one of the harder aiming techniques to master, especially while countering recoil and spread. Secondly, it promotes camping. If you try to move from cover to another spot, you're going to get picked off instantly. If every time you try to move up, or push, and get instantly killed, you will also start to camp. This type of game play is better for something like a MilSim or realistic Extraction shooter like Tarkov or something, not really Battlefield. Finally, it's not going to solve the hit reg issue, if anything it'll make it worse.
Frankly, the desync in 2042 is embarrassing, and I'm really concerned with BF6 having the same issue. It felt just as bad as 2042 during the beta and tech test. Dice is claiming they've put more work into it after the beta, but there's something off with their implementation. Something is fundamentally broken in their code. It's probably there by design, but the lag comp or whatever it is goes off the rails at times.
