The problem is not how long it takes to kill, it's the mis-match with how long it often takes to die.
There are all manner of things interfering: -
- Netcode (DICE have said it needs work)
- Balance (Some weapons are way too effective in certain situations)
- TTK (if it were _longer_ it would mean network issues would be less impactful)
- Cross-play (there is a theory that console-to-PC cross-play has a bad effect on syncing frames/ticks)
- Cross-play again (You cannot balance M&K and controller. It ruins lots of fights, esp. CQC)
- Aim assist, recoil control, targeting slowdown etc often feel like the fight wasn't fair
- server tick rate and reliability (I think EA are cutting costs on server specs)
- Players' latency (always has an effect, but all the other problems mean it's harder to tell who is at fault)
You can see a lot of the above problems even when you just smash a door open. The animations and sound and action are all out of sync. It's sometimes less obvious in the heat of battle, but it's always there.
