Weapon color icons?

Does anyone know what this mean? It's definitely not mastery level, 'cause high-leveled weapons don't have it. So far I've seen 4 icons:

  • Grey circle with no pointing arrows.
  • Yellow circle with 3 pointing arrows.
  • Yellow circle with 4 pointing arrows.
  • Red circle with 8 pointing arrows.

I haven't seen any information on this, and it's all speculation. Thanks.

    Supposedly the icons are for the first 4 levels of a gun. Red 1, yellow 2, orange 3, blue 4.

    Where are you seeing them, because none of my guns have them. Maybe that's limited to your personal rank as well idk.
