As we all know there are many issues in the game personally if I could change one thing it would be the horrendous matchmaking. As I’ve complained before this game is riddled with cod players who sit back sniping or camping in corners and not playing objective and getting rewarded for it as the devs seem to think it doesn’t need addressing.
But seriously whats one thing you would change?
For me it has to be Reworking Headshots to minimize the need for Hollow Points or synthetic tip, especially on pistols where you do not get enough points to, generally any weapon with base damage of 25 or lower hardly gets any benefit from more headshot damage, but higher damage weapons get more benefit. with sidearms this is why the M44 and M357 Trait are the best options despite the skill check. others such as GGH-22 and ES 5.7 just suck even with HP ammo (Still not a great point investment), With pistols might as well increase the base HSM for free since you lack the freedom to make meaningful tradeoffs anyways (due to 60 point cap, expensive attachments, lack of attachments, etc.)
Other than that, The most realistic change I'd want is either A clear all Orange Dot button or Remove or reduce 3D spotting when firing (AKA 3D spot on fire range) because using anything other than Flash hider or suppressors is too punishing for gameplay and distance spotted, instead DICE nerfed suppressors instead of solving the root of the problem.
A far out change but one that can be impactful is to revert the Med Pen to heal The user instead of the effect which it has now that are worthless since you die faster than you can benefit from it. Just make it like the one in 2042, you didn't need any other effect or carry 4 or 5 in the beta, just make it so you spawn with 1 and must replenish it at a supply crate. That way assault actually has a decent class gadget and still rely on teammates to push OBJ.
Getting matched with sweaty pc players is ridiculous. How on earth does cod have console only cross play but bf doesn't. Probably because they understand the community a bit better
The points system for attachments, for some reason default attachments cost points (iron sights, basic mag and ammo, no barrel) if they changed the point cost for stuff (especially scopes and grips) guns would feel much better. 1 post i made awhile ago showed the dumb prices that the kts mags have. The grips having maybe a 2 to 5% better stats than the previous of that grip and costing 10 to 20 more points is stupid. Default attachments shouldn't cost points. Also add magnifiers, would make 1 to 1.5 times scopes actually viable (like the osa-7(its just the okp-7)) and make them 10 points or less and make anything below 2x scopes 5 points it shouldn't cost 10% of my points to have a bad sight. The kts with NO attachments just the defaults is instantly 25 points.
The snipers are out of control. Nearly all of these games are a test of skill to advance your objectives.
And I'm sorry, but there's no skill in sniping. And it's cowardly.
I'd remove full crossplay as I don't believe that it has a place in PVP games. It's a fantastic system for PVE or co-op games, but I don't personally feel that it will ever truly be effectively balanced between PC and console when it comes to PVP. Failing that, I'd change the system to being input-based rather than platform, and ensure that everyone can opt out of crossplay entirely.
I've only started playing sniper these past few days for no other reason than Season advancement, it's not my thing really.
Fix the player mix, no one can play on a server that has players with 150, 200 and 2000ms ping times, the netcode can't cope plus the delay in key actions is very annoying.
Honestly, the whole concept of the project. It's too broken and mismanaged at this point to just pick a single thing.
I deleted this game from PS5 right after they ninja nerfed portal weapon xp etc, the game was only out for like 2, 3 weeks? I was having a blast, totally addicted to playing vs bots at my own pace. I chk back every cpl months to see if reverted & each time I do it seems something new has been added to the dumpster fire making this game worse n worse lol. If they ever go back to 1 player to start & wep xp, prog xp etc then I would reinstall, only change I need.
Spot on! Cod has console only cross play, that's about as far as I'd go in terms of cross play or nothing at all.
