I've been standing at the start screen over ten minutes. There are four of us just standing there waiting for the game to start. I see the Populating with Bots message but the lobby will not fill. Just trying to play some King of the Hill. Is there some setting I'm not aware of that will jumpstart this process?
If it's really 10 minutes, then it's probably stuck. I've seen this occasionally.
For some reason, though , populating with bots seems to take longer than populating with players.
Starting an Initiation game or a Portal experience that allows bots back fill seems to take an age.
the small modes been broken since last tuesdays portal update. the bots never load even after 10 mins of “populating with bots”
they say they working in it so i guess we wait
Playing crossplay off in Australia the start of the next match often just never works and other times when it works, there will be less than 32 players to start a match and it takes forever before the server starts to autofill with bots.
In the end players start leaving, then I'll leave and join another server that's already running.
It's pretty much just the normal broken matchmaking experience now.
Tragic state of affairs with this Matchmaking in lower populated modes.
it says populating with bots but it never does, it waits until we get 16 real players, so there are no bots in the small modes. Been waiting 30 minutes and it's Saturday, what a joke!
Yeah, it's not working. I guess everybody is playing Battle Royal" now.
it hasnt worked since portal update. i dont think it has anything to do with the players. its simply bots that arent populating
Populating with bots is the wrong phrase in use. Each game loads with x bots already populated, and the message stays until the live player count reaches high enough for the match to start.
It would be good for all game modes and maps to start with bots filled in after 10 minutes only if there was just 1 real player.
