I also want to add something that makes this situation even more disappointing for me.
The Top Gun collaboration is especially meaningful to me because Top Gun is my favorite movie. I absolutely love the movie, and even my nickname in Battlefield is “Hangshot”, which is inspired by Hangman, my favorite character from Top Gun: Maverick. I even have a Top Gun song as my phone ringtone.
So when I saw the Top Gun content coming to Battlefield, I was really excited to experience it in my favorite game, combined with my favorite movie.
Unfortunately, because of the current PC/console crossplay situation, I am struggling to enjoy this experience the way I wanted to.
I really want to enjoy Battlefield and the Top Gun content, but playing against PC players with a controller makes the experience very frustrating for me.
This is not just another game to me. Battlefield has been part of my gaming life since Battlefield 2, and Top Gun has been my favorite movie for years.
That is why I really hope the team can consider giving console players a console-only crossplay option, or adding official keyboard and mouse support on consoles.
I just want to be able to enjoy Battlefield the way I love it.
