Pre-ordered BF6 through EA - locked out on launch day, refund stuck, no access

Hi there,

So.. i pre-ordered Battlefield 6 directly through EA - thinking that would give me the smoothest experience at launch. Unfortunately, it's been the opposite.

I was hyped, sitting at my PC by 4:30 PM ahead of the 5:00 PM launch, ready to go. At 5:00 sharp I launched the game, hit a queue of about 500,000 people, and waited 5–10 minutes. Finally got in - friends still waiting - only to find out I couldn’t play because the game said:

“Purchase to play.”

I thought maybe it was a fluke. Restarted the game: 450,000 queue. Same issue. Game fully installed, still locked out.

Closed, repaired: 370,000 queue - still says I need to buy the game.

Uninstalled and reinstalled: 250,000 queue - still locked out.

Waited two hours, hoping it was a widespread issue that would be fixed.

Tried again: 70,000 queue - still no fix.

Reinstalled again. No queue this time - I thought “hell yeah”… and then:

➤ “Purchase to play.”

Waited another 2 hours.. try again, but still nothing.

At that point, I gave up and submitted a refund request.

My access to the game was instantly revoked (expected), but now the refund is still pending, so I have:

No game.

No money.

And no clear next step.

What’s really frustrating is that I bought through EA directly, while others (friends) who bought through Steam are playing with no issues at all. While i should be the one getting access, not stuck in a refund limbo.

I also missed out on progression, unlocks, and the pre-order bonuses I paid for. So if I don’t get the refund, I’d at least expect a full working game and some sort of compensation for the lost time and access.
