14-30 bullets to get a kill

For the past few months I’ve been experiencing extreme problems with hit reg, to get a kill in gauntlet I have to shoot at least 14 times even from 1 m distance how on earth is this possible? At this point I don’t even know how many bullets needs to used to get a kill with a KORD. How do I fix this? Does anyone one else have this problem?

TBH, I'm a little worried as the only thing they have stated in the patch notes as related is to nerf the high RPM weapons. I can't see how that will help.
