BF6 crash to desktop after 1.1.1.0 patch

The game crashes and returns you to the desktop without any apparent error. It also happens if I enter a game and after being killed and the menu to choose the class and weapon appears, it directly goes to the desktop. This started happening since the new patch.

  • I am also experiencing a crash-to-desktop behaviour. This specifically occurs on a second matchup on conquest; the first(after revalidation of files) works with flying colours. But the next match will CTD mid-play.

Event viewer logs under System show "The EAAntiCheatService service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 2 time(s)."
Revalidation fixes 3 files, the files are as follows(going from the date modified):
    preloader_l.dll
    EAAntiCheat.GameServiceLauncher.exe
    EAAntiCheat.GameServiceLauncher.dll

EDIT: My issue appears to be resolved, as I did not have any issues today. Perhaps a service or application was running in the background that the anti-cheat didn't like.

I saw a WHEA error in one of the Event Viewer log. I immediately went into the BIOS and increased the core voltages. After doing this, I was able to play for 10 hours without any problems.

The voltages I played for 70 hours without any problems before the update have become unstable after the new update. Check your CPU voltages.

  • same here , I have this error now and everything was perfectly fine before the update ... annoying

  • I am getting the same problem.  Was playing right before the Season One release, and now it shows the slash screen (for a long time!) and opens a black window, and closes after a few seconds with no error.  Very disappointing.  Below is the exact message in Windows Event Viewer.

"The description for Event ID 1 from source Application cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

    EAAntiCheatService
    ExitType: 95 (271)

The message resource is present but the message was not found in the message table"

any solution to this problem? been trying to figure this out for some days now

  • Update:  I just discovered that, for me anyway, it was RivaTuner Statistics Server that was causing the issue.  I wanted to see my FPS so I was running that, and as soon as I closed it, the game started loading properly.  It would be nice if it showed some hint when it shuts down like that, but oh well.
