Can't launch BF6 After UPDATE 1.2.3.0
Todays BF6 update on 14th April 2026, is crashing on the EA anticheat launch The game worked fine this morning before the update, tried repairing EA anticheat, and repairing BF6, updating GPU drivers, bios update etc, nothing works I'm using the EA app (not Steam) incase that is the problem Event viewer shows errors with a source of EA Javelin Anticheat when I try and launch BF6, with the details showing an error of "The game bf6.exe exited unexpectedly, exit code: 0xC0000604" I could play earlier this morning before the update, now it just crashes654Views6likes18CommentsBF6 Crash - DirectX Error - AMD Driver
Hey all Since season 2 of battlefield launched, I have been getting an error pop up when I start the game that causes it to crash. There are zero issues with other games and it was fine before season 2 launched. I can sometimes get to the main menu, and have got one game in before crashing with same error going into next. I’ve tried reinstalling battlefield, perform a DDU AMD graphics driver reinstall, tried older versions of AMD graphics driver. Nothing has worked. No overclocking, driver installed to default, graphics in game set to recommended. Anyone else getting this? Very frustrating not being able to play my favourite game! Any help is very appreciated. Hello, I play on Xbox Series S and have had no major issues since the game released. Since the last update that introduced Operations mode and the hunter/prey pass however, I am practically unable to play. I've tried playing multiple Operations matches and roughly halfway through the first sector of the match my game will crash either to the xbox menu or to the BF6 menu with a network disconnection error. I have also left the game idle on the main menu and after a few minutes it once again it will disconnect with the network. Has anyone else experienced this since the update and if so, any solutions to fix it? Thanks!Battlefield 6 Hard Crashing PS5
I've seen some reports of Battlefield 6 hard crashing on PS5 specifically and am running into the same issue. I can play anywhere between 1 to 2 games before a hard crash causing my PS5 to have to be unplugged before being able to restart. Firstly, THIS IS NOT AN OVERHEATING ISSUE. In fact, I've no issues playing REDSEC or GAUNTLET without any issues. I only run into this issue when playing Conquest or Breakthrough, with it seemingly being worse on Conquest. This wasn't an issue prior to Season 1, has no impacts on Redsec / Gauntlet, and doesn't impact any other game. So far I've uninstalled HD textures, restored licenses, repaired the console storage, reformatted, uninstalled and reinstalled, cleaned the vents / fans (which I already do regularly), and even had the thermal paste looked into to see if that were an issue (it's fine with no issues) and am at a loss for next moves. I've even reinstalled Campaign due to the issue and it's no different. If anyone has been experiencing this, please signal boost this so hopefully it can be investigated. Hopefully anyone reading this can see the steps I've taken to no avail and if a solution is figured out it can be widespread.212Views2likes3CommentsGame crashes on any mode
I have a ps5, I have recently bought the game about 2 months ago. Game was running fine. The latest update I can't play any mode for more than 5 minutes before it kicks me out for Internet. I ran a connection test, restarted my console, uninstalled and reinstalled the game and still it's not working. I can load in and start a game but not within 10 minutes it crashes. I'll play other games online and I have no issue. Internet is working, every other game is working. I uninstalled NFS unbound for this same issue. I even bought the redsec like an idiot trying to support. I called ISP to confirm any outages as well and no issue there Anyway error code is 0:85008S: 1517895126O:-2144993280Q It started yesterday and still on going. Hope this helps. I'll wait another day otherwise will un instalk and no worries. Also missing out on completing events which will inevitably be out for purchase next season for sure. I won't forget to buy....Game repeatedly crashing with no error code
I cant seem to figure out how to trigger it. Cannot play new mode- i crash about the second push, can only play shorter game modes for 1-3 rounds in a row before it crashes every round after. -things ive done that have been previously suggested- updated drivers, rolled drivers back for GPU uninstalled and disabled overlays and screen captures reinstalled directx reinstalled game, also validated files on steam turned off and then unplugged second monitor Since the content update for season 1- its been crashing without solution and without an error code. not sure where to go from here.63Views0likes2CommentsGame Crashing With Unknown Error 0:85009S
Hi everyone, A couple of days ago I decided to do a clean install of Windows 11 and installed all the necessary drivers. When I install and play Battlefield 6, after about 5 minutes the game kicks me out of the session with the error code “Unknown Error 0:85009S.” This is getting really frustrating because I’ve tried pretty much every suggestion I’ve found from other users, and nothing has worked so far. Here’s a list of what I’ve already tried: Clean install of Windows 11 Clean install of Windows 10 Clean install of Windows 11 LTSC Restarting my internet router Using my phone’s internet connection Clean boot via MSCONFIG Reinstalling Javelin Running both BF6 and Javelin as administrator Flushing DNS Changing DNS servers Disconnecting peripherals Allowing BF6 and Javelin through the firewall Opening ports on my router I’d really appreciate any help. I used to play without any issues, but since around Saturday, the 28th I haven’t been able to stay in-game for more than 5 minutes before getting kicked (cm edit - updated title for vis)Solved11KViews24likes240CommentsBF6 – Crash on Startup (bf6.exe 0xc0000604)
Hello, I cannot launch Battlefield 6 on my PC. Every attempt results in a crash at the splash screen before the game boots, with this error: "bf6.exe – Application Error The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000604)" I spent 5 hours straight troubleshooting this issue and documented every step below. Steps I Have Already Tried (Comprehensive): Secure Boot / BIOS Confirmed BIOS is updated (MSI Z490 Gaming Edge WiFi, BIOS 07/12/2024). Checked Secure Boot: enabled, Standard mode, factory keys intact. Confirmed via PowerShell Confirm-SecureBootUEFI = True. Tested game with Secure Boot on and off → both fail (off gives error, on still crashes). AntiCheat (EAAC) Verified EA AntiCheat installation in game folder. Ran EA Javelin AntiCheat installer (Uninstall, Repair, Update, Reinstall). Manually deleted EAAC service with sc delete EAAntiCheatService. Reinstalled via Javelin installer (service created at C:\Program Files\EA\AC\eaanticheat.gameservice.exe). Checked digital signatures (EA signed, SHA256 valid). Tried manually starting service with sc start EAAntiCheatService → service hangs in “Start Pending” or gives Error 87: The parameter is incorrect. When game is launched, service eventually switches to “Running” but bf6.exe immediately crashes with 0xc0000604. System Integrity / OS Checks Ran sfc /scannow → repaired minor corrupt files. Ran DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth → completed successfully. Performed a Windows 11 “Keep my files” reinstall (fresh system files, kept personal data). After reinstall, redid all steps above → same crash. Game Reinstalls Installed Battlefield 6 through Steam → crash. Verified Steam files multiple times → no change. Uninstalled from Steam, purchased + reinstalled through EA App directly → crash persists. Both installs confirmed all files downloaded (75GB+). Exploit Protection Settings Adjusted via Windows Security > App & browser control > Exploit Protection. Added bf6.exe, disabled Control Flow Guard, DEP, SEHOP, etc. → no effect. Drivers / Hardware GPU drivers reinstalled (clean install). Windows fully updated. Ran Resource and Performance Monitor → all OS, disk, drivers, and services passed. System is stable outside of Battlefield 6. Additional Checks Hyper-V requirements checked (VM Monitor Extensions supported). Verified nothing interfering (no VMs, Hyper-V, or conflicting services running). No third-party overlays active. System Specs: CPU: Intel Core i7-10700 @ 2.9GHz GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti RAM: 32GB DDR4 @ 3200MHz OS: Windows 11 Pro, version 25H2 (OS Build 26200.6584) [fully updated, clean reinstallation attempted] Motherboard: MSI Z490 Gaming Edge WiFi BIOS Version: E7C79IMS.1E0 (07/12/2024) Issue Summary: Battlefield 6 always crashes on splash screen with error 0xc0000604. EA AntiCheat is installed but fails to initialize correctly. I have completely reinstalled the game via both Steam and EA App, reinstalled Windows, and tested all OS/driver integrity. This appears to be a game or AntiCheat compatibility issue rather than a problem with my PC. Request: Please escalate this issue to the Battlefield 6 / EA AntiCheat development team. I would also like confirmation if this is a known launch issue affecting other players, and if a patch is being developed. Me and my fiance have paid £130 for 2 copies of the game, Im PC Steam she is Xbox series X, just for matchmaking to break every other game. Either it loads just one of us into a game or neither of us and we need to completely restart the game. Had this exact same issue in battlefield 2042 and the BF6 Beta. Genuinely thought this would have been fixed by now.... This is game breaking as it destroys any immersion/flow.2.8KViews23likes222CommentsMatchmaking send back to Menu
I have the issue where it finds a match, then I get a black screen and then it says Battlefield, and send me back to the Menu, seems like I am able to find a match, but not connect to it, I have tried all different settings allowing the game on the Firewall option, repair/re-installed game files, same issue. I was able to play some matches with the beta, but then I had this same issue, now in launch day, still happening. Anyone has any solutions? See video for reference Thanks !23KViews109likes306Comments
