Connecting failed

I'm not sure what system (e.g., Xbox, PS5, or PC) you play the game on, however if you're playing the game via Xbox, the reason you're likely experiencing issues logging on has nothing to do with the game/it's servers and is an issue with Xbox live services. Since early yesterday morning (sometime after 1am or so) Microsoft has identified a problem with their servers which has affected a number of their products& services, Xbox/Xbox live being part of what's been affected. 

The outage has affected people's ability to login to their Xbox accounts, login and play games where your Xbox account is linked to another account (e.g., Xbox linked to EA), boot up/load games that were purchased from the console store, play games via remote access, connect to a game servers, and more. I don't currently know the status or if there's an ETA of when it will be fixed, or any additional info outside of what I've already included in this comment. I personally had issues connecting and logging into the game this morning, however sometime late afternoon (or maybe it was early evening), I was able to connect to the game, log in, and play the game without any issues.

If you don't play the game on Xbox and are on PC or PS5, it would probably be useful/helpful for you to post a picture of, or copy & paste the error code you're receiving when you try to log in. Usually that code can help single out and identify the cause along with several steps to try and troubleshoot your issues (TBH, it would probably be helpful to share the error code even if you do play on Xbox, because that could very well NOT be your issue).
