EA… Will your game work on console before I buy the game. Other EA titles overload CPU and cause consoles to shut down (the only developers that dont this btw)

Ah but it wasn't just BF: it could happen to any game of any publisher. It was a hardware problem with the initial XSX consoles: the only fix was to replace the console or have it repaired.

If you have an XSX: the initial console batches were defective — they'd shutdown suddenly while in a game. I know so as I had one. It affected myriads of customers. Contact Microsoft with your serial number at hand and check.
Given the game doesnt go live for a day it's also possible any day 1 patch could add a hotfix for the issue.

Mm fun. Oddly enough first I've heard of that one. Does kinda track though as the initial series consoles wouldve gone out around the time pandemic shortages meant people had to use cheaper lower quality/endurance parts. That or I have heard it before but legit forgot lol its just been that long.
After confirming with Microsoft all Xbox Series X have identical hardware. It’s an EA issue

I beg to differ that this has been resolved or solved. I'm having the exact same problem of it shutting my console down as well as my friends are having the problem too. It's not the Xbox console. I purchased a brand new one and it's doing the exact same thing. I've never had a problem with any other game doing this. I also purchase an exterior fan to help keep it cool on the inside and it still shuts my console down!!!!
