Constant crashes

Hey!

GPU: MSI RTX 4080 SUPRIM 16GB
CPU: Intel Core i7-13700KF
RAM: 32GB DDR5-6400

At first I was getting black screens followed by a complete Windows restart. I analyzed the Windows minidumps and they consistently pointed to eaanticheat.sys.

WinDbg:

BUGCHECK_CODE: a

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a)

PROCESS_NAME: bf6.exe

MODULE_NAME: eaanticheat

IMAGE_NAME: eaanticheat.sys

SYMBOL_NAME: eaanticheat+4a8ebd3

FAILURE_BUCKET_ID: AV_eaanticheat!unknown_function

FAILURE_ID_HASH:

STACK_TEXT:

nt!KiPageFault
nt!RtlpxVirtualUnwind
nt!RtlDispatchException
nt!KiDispatchException

Now I'm still getting the black screen/restart crashes when i make it through the intro/shader- screen and playing the map for a few minutes and BF6 constantly crashes to the desktop during the intro or while loading/compiling shaders, usually without any error message.

I've already checked my RAM, Windows system files and SSD, and everything came back fine. Other games are running without any issues. BF6 was running fine on this system before these recent updates/Season 4, so at this point I strongly suspect a BF6/EA or AntiCheat issue rather than a hardware problem.

I've also already repaired/reinstalled EA AntiCheat and completely reinstalled Battlefield 6, but the crashes are still happening.

At this point I'm done troubleshooting and changing things on my PC. As frustrating as it is, I think I'll just wait for the next Battlefield update and see if DICE/EA fixes whatever is causing this. Since the game was running fine on the same hardware before, I don't really see a reason to keep messing with a system that otherwise works perfectly.

----

1. BF6 and EA-APP are not running as administrator - DONE

2. Clearing the EA app cache via Help - App Recovery - Clear Cache - DONE

3. Deleting the BF6 shader cache in `%localappdata%\Battlefield 6\cache` - DONE

4. Temporarily disabling overlays such as EA, Discord, NVIDIA, MSI Afterburner/RTSS - DONE all overlays are deactivated or not even installed on my system like Afterburner

BF6 is still crashing while loading intro/shader

    Hello Lunar!

I updated my BIOS to the lastest version as you suggested, including the newer Intel microcode.

So far, the difference is actually quite noticeable. BF6 has been running stable for the first time since the issues started (for like 2 hours).

I'll continue testing, but so far this looks very promising.

Thanks for sticking with this and helping me troubleshoot it! Really appreciate it.
