Invalid Pointer and Access Violations (CRASH)
Again i’m reaching out to share my frustration with Battlefield 6 and the consistent crashes I’ve been encountering. After performing various hardware tests (including MemTest86, stress tests, and verifying all components), I’ve found no issues with my hardware. However, BF6 crashes immediately after launching or during gameplay. I’ve tried updating drivers, reinstalling the game, updating the BIOS, and even reinstalling Windows — but the problem persists. Interestingly, I’ve been able to run demanding games like Alan Wake 2 and Stellar Blade without any issues, so it's clear this problem is specific to BF6. Crash Details: After analyzing the crash dumps, I found the following: Error Type: Access Violation (INVALID_POINTER_READ) Error Code: 0xC0000005 Faulting Module: bf6.exe Faulting Function: ffxFsr2ResourceIsNull (memory address: 0x144b3a6e0) Exception Information: The crash occurs when the game attempts to read from the invalid memory address 0xFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF. Crash Dump File: CrashDump_2026.01.03_14.56.48.058.mdmp This indicates a problem within bf6.exe at the ffxFsr2ResourceIsNull function, which seems to involve faulty memory access during runtime. The issue appears to be related to a null pointer dereference, possibly due to a bug in the game’s code or an incompatibility with the system’s configuration. I’ve tried multiple solutions, including updating the drivers, reinstalling the game, updating the BIOS, and reinstalling Windows, but the issue still persists. System Specifications: OS Version: Microsoft Windows 11 Pro, Version 10.0.26200 System Manufacturer: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. Please let me know if any further details are needed or if there are specific steps I should follow to troubleshoot further. Best regardsNo way to report Redsec cheaters
I have footage of a cheater in Redsec, but there is no way to report him. 1. His name is unprintable. - you shouldn't allow nonprintable characters - you shouldn't allow number sequences - you shouldn't allow long names such as sentences 2. I never saw his name in recently played - you shouldn't allow people to make their accounts private unless they never play MP - you should provide a record of every game, like other games do in MP 3. There is no way to submit video footage, or a game id, so how the hell are you able to verify that someone is cheating or not? I don't think you're even trying TBH. This guy pops up and shoots dirt. He knows when people are behind objects and keeps looking at object and moving until he can see them. His tracking of objects is just weird, it's not human at all, it's very smooth and too accurate, no bounce, just a weird smooth track.Battlefield 6 disconnects my entire network/internet; reproducible 100%
Battlefield 6 crashes during server join with network traffic dropping to 0 KB/s immediately before crash (PC, Windows, Xfinity) Video of the Crash Summary Battlefield 6 launches normally but consistently crashes during server join or immediately after brief loading visuals. The failure is always preceded by the in-game network graph dropping to 0 KB/s inbound and outbound. This is not a full internet disconnect. Other applications and network activity remain stable. I am normally connected via LAN directly to my modem, have 300 hours so far of uninterrupted gameplay. I tested LAN, WiFi, Hotspot, and my neighbors WiFi with the same outcome as the video above. Environment PC running Windows Network using Xfinity gateway/router managed via the Xfinity app Static DHCP-reserved LAN IP assigned to the PC: 10.0.0.37 Tools used include the Battlefield in-game network graph, Windows Event Viewer, and external port checking tools Symptoms and reproduction Launch Battlefield 6 Attempt to join any server or match During loading, the game either crashes on the loading screen or briefly loads (for example helicopter visuals) and then crashes Immediately before the crash, the in-game network graph shows traffic activity and then drops to 0 KB/s in and out Observed example Attempted to join a server (example: Redsec). The helicopter/loading visuals appeared briefly, then the game terminated immediately. The in-game network graph showed traffic followed by a complete flatline to zero just before the crash. Event Viewer findings Windows Event Viewer was reviewed to determine whether Windows was disabling the network connection at the moment of failure. Result: There is no clear or actionable Windows network-level error logged at the exact time of the crash. There is no indication of a clean network adapter disconnect. The behavior appears consistent with the game or EA Anti-Cheat terminating the session or process internally rather than Windows dropping connectivity. Event Viewer logs from the Application and System logs around the crash window can be provided if specific fields or Event IDs are required. Troubleshooting performed Static IP and port forwarding A static LAN IP was reserved for the PC using DHCP reservation to prevent address changes (10.0.0.37). Port forwarding was configured through the Xfinity app, including port 27015. External port checking tools report the public IP and port as closed. Result: No change. Battlefield 6 still crashes during server join. Port forwarding did not resolve the issue. Windows Firewall changes Windows Defender Firewall rules were deleted to rule out local firewall interference. Result: The game began crashing earlier, now during the loading screen. This suggests the firewall was not the root cause and that removing rules may have removed previously allowed behavior or altered timing rather than fixing the issue. Network observability attempts Windows-native tools were used to determine what component was disabling Battlefield network traffic. Result: No Windows-level logging clearly explains the sudden drop of Battlefield traffic to zero. This points toward an application-level or anti-cheat-level termination rather than an OS-level network failure. Community reports and possible correlation Community posts were found suggesting EA Anti-Cheat may conflict with PPPoE or dial-up style connections, with reported workarounds involving disconnecting and reconnecting the connection after launching the game. This is not confirmed as the root cause here, but the failure pattern is similar: network handshake fails, traffic drops to zero, game terminates. Why this does not appear to be general connectivity or user error Other online games and internet usage function normally Network traffic drops only for Battlefield 6, not system-wide Static IP, port forwarding, and firewall changes do not resolve the issue Windows does not log a clean network disconnect at the time of failure The crash consistently follows the Battlefield network traffic dropping to zero Request to EA Support and Engineering Confirm whether Battlefield 6 requires inbound reachable ports for stability or if outbound-only connectivity is expected Provide guidance on EA Anti-Cheat logging or diagnostics that can explain why the session is terminated when network traffic drops Confirm whether this is a known issue with certain ISP gateways (including Xfinity) and provide recommended gateway settings, bridge mode guidance, or an official workaround Evidence available upon request Screenshots showing in-game network traffic dropping to 0 KB/s immediately before crash Screenshots of Xfinity port forwarding configuration and port checker results Windows Event Viewer logs around the crash window Short issue summary for ticket title Battlefield 6 crashes during server join. In-game network traffic drops to 0 KB/s immediately before crash. Xfinity gateway, static IP 10.0.0.37, port forwarding attempted, firewall changes worsened crash, no clear Windows network error logged. Can we get some sort of time frame for fixes? Or at least an acknowledgement?
Can we get some kind of acknowledgement that support is even checking these threads? Can we get fixes for the game that doesn't require us gimping our GPU, CPU, And XMP/AMD EXPO (Ram speeds)? This probably includes the infamous DX errors this game is riddled with. Any time frame on getting hit reg fixed? You know, those moments of shooting an opponent in the back just for them to turn around and smoke you with what looks like 1 bullet ? Any plans on fixing the Fire camping that takes place in REDSEC? That's allowing people to hangout in the fire without taking damage ? What about what we were sold with Portal? Full progession with bots and friends? Being able to back fill lobbies with bots and enjoying with friends is part of why I purchased this game. Can we let the community decide on the game changes ? Not streamers? We paid our money, it's about time for some sort of acknowledgement. EA_Leeuw ??60Views6likes2CommentsBf6 don't start
When I open the game on steam the anticheat launcher starts but after disapearing the game just close I've done everything, reinstalled the game, drivers, anti-cheat, but nothing works. I also contacted with the support but they said they can't do anything about it just to report the bug to the developer team. But before i changed my graphic card it worked perfectly (amd to nvidia)Console Auto Assist is Killing BF!!
I've played BattleField since early/mid 2000s, when it was strictly PC game, then went to Cross Platform/console and now is it seems to just be "Catering" to Console players, this Auto-Aim assist is Fn BS! EA Removed any Skill Gap this game has, so a Rank 1 Console player that is just pulling Trigger and out aim a seasoned PC BF Player from 50m away? Because it seems to happen all the time. Hit Reg is garbage, I've bought ever single BF since 2000's, sorry to say this maybe my last and im not the only PC Player to think so.. I see TONS of PC Players using Controller to get that auto assist, which I dont blame them when it takes the SKILL GAP AWAY! Plus 10s of thousands of people with Arconis.. PC players are now marginalized when we're the original players that made BF what it is today! DO BETTER!Help
I have been having issues with BF6 through steam. I would load up and see a blue radar stuck to the right side of my screen. I took a screen shot, and it didn't show. Only I could see it, so I uninstalled and let it rest for 2 days. I installed it this morning, and now it won't load past the EA splash screen. I have tried to do my own research and have tried a few things myself. I have verified the files on Steam, reset the PC, and repaired the EA anti cheat. I uninstalled the anti-cheat, and now I cannot seem to be able to reinstall the anti-cheat. It says there is a network issue halfway into downloading the launcher from the EA website. I just wanna play BF6 and get shot at a lot. Can someone help me?Please Fix Squad Join Issues — You’re Losing Players
Please Fix Squad Join Issues — You’re Losing Players Previously, we were able to join a 4-player squad game through EA Connect, which allowed friends to join after the game had already started. Recently, however, this feature no longer works. Despite trying every possible workaround, our PS5 party of five can’t invite the extra player as we used to. Are you telling us that we shouldn’t play if we have more than three friends in a group? Because right now, that’s what it feels like. You’re taking away one of the features that made the game fun and community-driven, and it’s frustrating. So what’s the plan, EA? Are you going to fix this, or should we move on to something elseRecent update randomly crashes game.
First off specs: Ryzen 9 3900x, 32GB RAM & 3080ti Second, cpu/gpu temps are within normal ranges. The problem is the game randomly crashes. It's very frustrating. EventVwr: File System Filter 'EAAntiCheat' (Version 10.0, 2025-12-06T14:29:07.000000000Z) unloaded successfully. Thing is I was in the middle of breakthrough. I didn't quit the game! HELP, This happens frequently when I play more than 1 match.Subject: Urgent Complaint Regarding The Pass Rewards and Overall Game Quality
Dear EA and DICE Support Team, I am writing this feedback as a deeply frustrated and loyal player of Battlefield 6. I purchased the PRO edition, investing my hard-earned money into what I believed would be a premium gaming experience. However, what I've encountered is nothing short of a betrayal, and it's pushing me—and I'm sure many others—to the brink of abandoning the franchise altogether. Let me start with the immediate issue that's got me fuming: This week's weekly challenge clearly displayed a reward of 85 Battle Pass points. I grinded through it, completing every requirement with dedication and effort, only to find that those points never materialized in my account. Nothing! Zero! And with the Battle Pass set to end in just three days, this isn't just an inconvenience—it's a slap in the face. How am I supposed to progress and unlock the content I've paid for when your system fails to deliver on its promises? This isn't the first glitch I've run into, but it's certainly the most infuriating, especially when time is running out. But this bug is just the tip of the iceberg. EA and DICE, you've taken our money for a game that's riddled with problems from top to bottom. Where's the polished, engaging content we deserve? Instead of a seamless multiplayer experience, we're dealing with a mess of bugs that ruin matches, cheaters running rampant like they own the servers, and an anti-cheat system that's about as effective as a screen door on a submarine. It's outrageous! You've promised fixes and updates, but here we are, still suffering through the same issues months after launch. Do you even care about the players who keep your game alive? Let me make this crystal clear: Players are the lifeblood of Battlefield. Without us—the ones who buy your games, grind your challenges, and spread the word—you're nothing. A game without its community is just dead code on a server. We've supported you through thick and thin, but this level of neglect is unacceptable. We're not just customers; we're the reason your franchise exists. Treat us with the respect we deserve, or watch as we walk away to developers who actually listen and deliver. I demand immediate action: Credit those 85 Battle Pass points to my account right now, extend the Battle Pass if necessary to make up for this fiasco, and start prioritizing real fixes for the bugs and cheating epidemic. Don't let this be another ignored complaint—prove that you value your players before it's too late. Angrily awaiting your response, GGICJOED23Views0likes0Comments
