Crash to Desktop w/ No Error

Since the previous update 1.1.1.5 I have not been able to play a full match without the game crashing. I have tried a number of things to fix the issue. I own the game on Steam but I'll include my EA ID as well. I would have attempted to update my BIOS but it is already up-to-date. Below are the fixes I have attempted. I did some stuff to fix the "DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED or DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG" error as well because it happened a few times when attempting to fix the no error crashes to desktop.
Fixes attempted:
-Uninstall BF6(restart PC)/Reinstall BF6(after restart)
-Roll-back NVIDIA Drivers/Reinstall latest drivers
-Disable XMP/Edit MT/s
-Lower graphic settings
-Update and repair Windows
-Run Dxdiag to find issues with DX12 (No problems were found)
-Install DX12 drivers again from Windows (Just in case)

Additional Information:

EA ID / Steam ID: Ollie-Senpai / Ollie
OS Version: 26100.7171
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super 16GB
GPU Driver: 581.80
Date/Time the issue occurred: 11/13/25 - Current
Brief summary of your bug: Game runs fine and then will randomly freeze for a brief second and then crash to desktop with no error.
Type of issue: Crash
Mode where it occurred & Map: RedSec & MP on Escalation, Conquest, Rush, Breakthrough on all Maps.
Any other errors: "DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED or DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG" was also present but has not been a consistent error since rolling back and reinstalling NVIDIA drivers.

Google Drive Link to CrashDump

If there is anymore information I can provide please let me know and I will attempt to get it ASAP. There shouldn't be any issues with the Google Drive link but if there is I'll fix it right away. Thank you for any assistance!

  • Ladies and Gentlemen, I resolved my issue. After updating and rolling back drivers I found I had a RAM issue that I didn't detect last week when I ran the WMD MemTest. I ran to BestBuy and purchased more RAM which was brutal to my wallet but after playing a few matches after installing the new RAM we're back in action. Thank you everyone for your assistance!

Glad you fixed it, You can thank AI for RAM prices are going up,  AI data centers are eating up almost 40% of the world’s memory supply, so everything’s gotten way more expensive.. RAM/DRAM module prices have increased by 90-150% since January 2025😑

  • Same for me since latest update on Thuesday 18.11.2025, game crashes very often from lobby before match starting (matchmaking) without error to desktop. When the match starts, never crashed during game, but very ofen crashed before next match in matchmaking. I have Radeon RX 9070 XT, so it will be probably not connected with graphics drivers, when it crashing on nVidia and AMD too. Before latest update game worked like a charm. EA, please fix it ASAP.

I am too. Hopefully the market stabilizes and prices go back down, its the GPU market from a few years ago all over again.

With all the new AI datacenters going up, RAM prices won’t be dropping anytime soon. Demand is so high that major tech companies are even building their own power plants just to keep everything powered. Costs are only going one way for a while lol .

I have the same issue; most of the time the game crashes to desktop without any error.
It happens upon clicking start, it crashes before showing the loading screen, sometimes between maps or map changes. not sure if it is a specific map issue. might be something silly like a missing loading screen image.

*This issue appeared after the last game update.*

I've tried everything except re-installing the game BUT I tried repairs and even tried deleting random game files then repair from EA APP, didn't fix it
    I've tried increasing page file
Latest drivers & updates, rolled back
Cleared cashe everywhere but seemed that clearing EA APP cashe make the issue disappear for a short while then it comes back.

I tried WMD MemTest minutes ago as you recommended, my memory is all okay, test went fine with no issues.

---> Any other things to try?
    THANK YOU

    MB: EVGA x99 classified
    CPU: Intel i7 6800k @3.6Ghz
    GPU: MSI Gtx 1070ti 8GB
    RAM: Crucial Ballistix DDR4 @2800 40GB

Game was running like a champ since the release till the last update of a steady 60fps on medium settings and 80-90fps on low settings.

  • GUYS I'VE SOLVED THE ISSUE
    GO TO GAME DIRECTORY
    SEARCH FOR TOC
DELETE ALL TOC FILES THAT APPEAR FROM THAT SEARCH
REPAIR GAME FROM EA APP OR STEAM

    AND THAT'S IT

  • It looks like that you are my hero! I deleted all *.toc files in game, repaired game and I played three games without crash to desktop! Unbelivable! Thank you very much for your post!
