REMOVED) on Intel Iris Xe – Crash During Shader Compilation
Platform: PC (Windows 11)
CPU: Intel Core i5 13th Gen
GPU: Intel Iris Xe Graphics
RAM: 16 GB
Storage: 512 GB NVMe SSD
Issue Description:
The game crashes on launch during the “Preparing Game – Compiling Shaders (100%)” stage. A DirectX error appears and forces the game to close.
Error Message:
DirectX function "dxResource->Map(0, readRangePtr, mappedData)" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED. "The video card has been physically removed from the system, or a driver upgrade for the video card has occurred." - Forced DirectX 11 using -dx11 launch option
- Disabled overlays (Xbox Game Bar, Discord, Steam)
- Verified game files
Expected Result:
Game should complete shader compilation and launch normally without crashing.
Actual Result:
Game crashes consistently with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED during shader compilation
