DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED or DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG

This worked for me:

Delete the two highlighted files:

Then verify the integrity of the game in steam.  It will download new Directx files needed.

Did not work for me sadly. I crashed, saw this and tried it, joined my friends game again and crashed within 5 minutes again.
