I wish you guys would stop with your absolute nonsense fixes. There is NOTHING that WE can do to fix this issue. EA needs to fix it. You may think you "fixed it" by enabling Rebar, but you haven't. You WILL crash again, its just a matter of time. Majority of people have rebar on already. Re-rolling old drivers wont help either, This is happening to everyone on all different drivers and rigs, both nvidia and amd. It is not OUR issue. it is EA's
- Windows: 11 pro 24H2
- GPU: 9060XT
- Driver: 25.10.2 / 25.10.1 / 25.9.1
- Date: 03-11-2025
- What happens: Game freezes. Stays frozen on screen for a full minute, closes to desktop. Error attached appears and disappears in seconds
- Type of crash: Crash to desktop, driver crash
- Mode: Multiplayer, single player, it even happens on the main menu
Ven0m_ZA Look man, I'm not trying to imply that it's the user's fault, nor that I have found the ultimate fix. The simple truth though, is that the game just works for some people, and now it also just works for me - no crashes since swapping the card and getting my ReBAR to properly function. There must be some specific thing about what I've done that improved BF6's behavior.
Don't get me wrong there - replacing your GPU should never be considered an acceptable solution in this case. What I'm trying to do here is to narrow the issue down as much as possible, in hopes for providing potentially useful info to actual people in charge of fixing this mess.
I don't believe they'll go too far with just dxdiag reports and crash dumps, these only go as far as proving that this happens over a vast range of hardware, OS and driver configurations, there's much more to it. And I still believe that ReBAR might be a part of this, since the crash dumps clearly point towards memory management issues.
EA_Aljo Is there any way to get directly involved into solving this?
