its an Ea problem brotha dont listen to Sidewindrr666
Spoken like someone who has fiddled with their PC and messed it up and trying to blame someone else. Have you tried factory settings on your BIOS and a fresh install of windows (you can install it to another drive for testing) and BF6? If this works then the issue is SOMETHING you did or something you changed or added etc. You can then on the test windows start installing drivers/utils for clocking etc. one by one (test after each install) and see which one breaks BF6.

We get it, you’re an EA sock puppet account lol. I and many on here have tried every single reported fix but still have crashes. It’s not user hardware or settings.

Are you sure? I don't know....maybe I should just throw this new PC in the garbage it can't even run BF6 without crashing.... 😜

No puppet here, fact is I had the issue, resolved it and explained how I resolved it.
Some of you are still having issues with basic comprehension of the english language. I said the GPU Scheduling OFF is one of the causes of the DXGI error, not the ONLY cause. Maybe go back to school.

Try a clean install of windows on another drive/partition to see if it will work with your hardware/settings. If it does not work on a clean copy of windows then there is a hardware/config issue somewhere that is not windows.

This you?
Again, This is an OS/Driver/Hardware issue not an EA Software issue. I don't mind piling on EA when it is deserved (like messing up bots and XP in portal) but in this case it is not an EA issue.

You for sure work for EA with your nonsense… I am not going to chase anymore of your nonsensical so called solutions for this game….
We clearly all understand English here and recognize and smell poop when we see it… people have gone above and beyond reinstalling windows or using different ssd to buying new hardware…. Only to crash again…. EA game problem
.Jabroni31169 he says it’s not an EA problem… stay out his way.

What actually crashed
Faulting function
bf6!ffxFsr2ResourceIsNull
That’s AMD FidelityFX FSR 2.x integration code. Not a guess—this is the literal helper Frostbite uses to validate FSR2 GPU resources.
Crash type
INVALID_POINTER_READ
Attempt to read from address ffffffffffffffff
That’s a classic sentinel / invalid handle (-1) being dereferenced.
Instruction
mov rbx, qword ptr [rax+rbx*8]
rax = 05efff0900e900ee (garbage)
rbx = 0
So it’s trying to index into a resource table using a completely invalid base pointer. That’s not a driver timeout—that’s engine-side logic failing to gate a code path.

OMFG, you and your asinine assumptions are exactly why you cannot resolve the issue, you simpleton. No need to lash out at me because you are unable to get your windows working properly. I am just trying to help out people on here, you certainly won't get this help from EA, their technical support is terrible.
You go on about People trying this and that, you fail to understand there are multiple things that can cause this DXGI crash so other people's efforts are specific to their situation. Have YOU actually tried a clean install of Windows? Or you just flapping your gums?
I also went through the buying new hardware (replaced GPU and RAM) and blaming EA dance until I tried a clean windows install and the game then ran ok, pointing to a software setting and not hardware. I then went back through my original windows to find the software setting causing the issue.
The simple facts are...
- I offered the solution that resolved MY issue, never said it was a cure all.
- I highlighted a setting that MUST be ON or you will never resolve the issue.
- I used to have this very issue and could not play BF2042 nor BF6 as they would both give the DXGI error.
- Now the game is running fine on my PC with high CPU, GPU and RAM clock rates at 4k.
- I can play for as long as I want without a crash, in fact I have not had that crash since I resolved the issue.
- I have over 1,000 hours of play time in BF6 and BF2042 and have 100% resolved my DXGI issue.
This whole DXGI issue 100% a windows issue. For some people it will be a software issue, for some it will be hardware and for others it will be a combination of both.
No skin off my nose if you do or do not try/listen to my suggestions, fact still remains my setup is working and yours isn't. Good luck with the refund.

Again, its not a windows issue. It might have been for you, but its not for a lot of us. Thanks for your input.

No worries, all I was trying to do was lend some insight and info on MY issue and the solve.
I would wager that there are probably more than a dozen different settings that could cause a DXGI crash and some people may have more than one contributing issue.
Have you tried a clean install of windows on a different partition/drive with only video and basic drivers installed and then run the game? This is what I ended up doing to find my issue, I removed the clean install of windows after I resolved the issue.

So it's an FSR issue? I use DLSS, maybe that is why I didn't get this exact crash/dump.
Do you have an AMD or NVIDIA GPU?
- SIDEWINDR6662 months agoRising Adventurer
That is me yes. :)
- WOLFI5092 months agoSeasoned Newcomer
Dears i think no need for this fight , as i see through searching that most players who complain are AMD users
it becomes very clear that BF6 engine as been built to favour Nvidia GPUs with these **bleep** lighting effects and DLSS so on
so please close all lighting effects settings because it is clearly favour Nvidia that's why AMD GPUs crashes , close ambient effects , Close FSR + change ( Anti-Aliasing )=to=> FSR NATIVE AA that's for AMD Users game defualt option TAA which not for AMD users also from game to game check graphics settings because game engine fails randomly and pushing higher grahpics randomly then game crash - SIDEWINDR6662 months agoRising Adventurer
Do what you like.
