So far everything is fine, no crashes yet.
Do you get pauses or stutters in the game play now?

Short answer:
Yes, occasionally there can be brief pauses or micro-stutters.Since increasing TdrDelay/TdrDdiDelay prevents Windows from resetting the GPU driver immediately, a short freeze can occur when the GPU briefly stalls and then recovers. This is essentially the same issue that previously caused a crash, just handled more gracefully.
It’s usually preferable to a DXGI crash, but it doesn’t fix the root cause!

Yes, this is what happened for me when I tried extending the TDR delays before I found the cause of my DXGI crashes. I found with extending the delays the crashes were less frequent but I had lots of stuttering and it still crashed when there was massive amounts of detail on the screen. I run at 4K ultra settings.
Once I located the source of my crashes (the GPU Hardware Scheduling being OFF causing the crashes) I removed the TDR delays from the registry, no crashes for over 6 months (I had the issue in BF2042 originally) with some sessions lasting over 8hrs.

Unfortunately, after the latest update I had about two crashes. I increased the values from 3C to 78 (120 seconds, even though 60 / 3C is already quite high 😉) and so far it’s been okay.
I still need to test it more. It seems like it might also be related to minimizing the game — when I was minimizing it, it would crash after some time, while with 3C I could minimize the game without any issues. I’ll update once I know more.

Minimizing/alt tabbing out of the game is a misnomer. The reason you see a correlation is because doing so often causes the game to call up upscaling and thus it tries to call up the FSR2 module that it can't find, and it kills the game.
The game's engine is borked. You can see this "ffxFsr2ResourceIsNull" access violation in basically every crash dump anybody has posted on this forum in the past week.
