EA Javelin AntiCheat service fails with Error 87; kernel driver is missing
Hello EA Support,
I am requesting escalation of a persistent Battlefield 6 launch problem to the EA Javelin AntiCheat technical/engineering team.
The AntiCheat service has repeatedly failed to start correctly. I have observed Error 87 (0x57) after the service briefly enters START_PENDING. The expected kernel driver file, C:\Windows\System32\drivers\eaanticheat.sys, is missing, and pnputil shows no EA AntiCheat driver package.
I have performed clean Windows installations of Windows 11 26H2, 25H2, 24H2 and 23H2. I have also repaired the game through the EA app, tested installing the game on the same drive/partition as AntiCheat, and checked the service configuration, driver file, Driver Store and TPM status. The issue persists.
On one earlier installation, EA app Repair allowed the game to launch temporarily, but the problem returned after reboot. Running EAAntiCheat.GameServiceLauncher.exe repeatedly eventually triggers a Windows administrative permission prompt. Approving it has allowed Battlefield 6 to launch, but this is not a sustainable solution.
Please do not close this case with only another generic reinstall/repair checklist. I am requesting a technical investigation into why the Javelin driver is not being deployed or registered and why the service returns Error 87.
Please escalate this case to the Javelin AntiCheat engineering team, review the relevant installer/service/session diagnostics available to EA, and provide a targeted fix or a confirmed persistent workaround. If additional diagnostic logs or session identifiers are required, please provide exact collection instructions and a secure submission method.
I do not want to continue reinstalling Windows without evidence that another reinstall would address the root cause.
Thank you.
