Re: BF6 Crash on Launch, Black Screen

The game launched 289 days ago (10.10.2025) and Season 3 was released 75 days ago (12.05.2026), meaning this specific bug has persisted for approximately 26% of the game's lifecycle. I hope it gets fixed this season. If this isn't patched and lasts until the end of S4 (04.09.2026), it means the game will be crashing for ~40% of its total existence.

OMG, crashes does not happen when STARTING, but when PLAYING. My game is still crashing after 15-30 minutes.
it happens more offten/faster when i have high score/high kills numers per minute(?).
This is EXTREAMLY FRUSTRATING becouse its always occure when i already have KILL CONFIRMED PERK on sniper active, 
after crash i have to reconnect to new game and grind for it again and again becouse THIS GAME IS CRASHING ALL THE TIME NOW.

(i was affected and still i heavnt recived ANYTHING), when weekly extra task is broken every player recives in-game broadcast message with extra points etc. from devs. 
So i belive you can adress this issue better, who know's how many more players struggles with it but dont cry about it here on forum, maybe they are also seeking fix to this issue but THEY CANT FIND ANYTHING BEACOUSE THIS IS UNFIXABLE.

you are keep posting the same respond, but NONE of your post have a vaiable sollution. game is crashing  SINCE MAY 12th
through entire season 3, now SEASON 4 beggins and game is STILL CRASHING, FIX the game or post sollution that WORKS EA_Shepard​.
I got every overlay dissabled, no background progams exept discord. my game is CRASHING not BLACKSCREENING the only backscreen i got is when windows crashes after game crash. get familiar with my previous post that you was replying to with
THE SAME MESSAGE. my crash dups were posted before.

PLEASE STOP ACTING LIKE THE ISSUE DOESNT EXIST.

BOTnarenko​ Hey, Sorry to hear that. I am trying to get updates on this to get everyone back in the game. I pulled your file, and this is what I was able to find. 

From what I can see, your hardware looks to be in good shape for Battlefield 6, and I don't see any Windows crash reports, Steam errors, EA App errors, or EA AntiCheat/Javelin failures being logged. Your RX 7700 XT driver is also very recent, so nothing immediately stands out from the DxDiag itself. What I would do with this one is do a clean uninstall, downgrade the drivers, then upgrade them. That worked for some. Also we see a lot of players with VPN. If you are using it, can you disable it and test it?

A few things I'd recommend trying:

• Close any background overlays or peripheral software before launching Battlefield 6, including Logitech G Hub and Razer software, just to rule out any software conflicts.
• Repair or verify the Battlefield 6 installation through your launcher.
• Reinstall EA AntiCheat using the installer in the Battlefield installation folder, then reboot before launching the game again.
• If you're seeing a black screen during launch, try performing a clean graphics driver installation rather than installing over the existing driver as mentioned above.
• If you have any Battlefield crash dumps, please attach those as well. They can often provide more information than the DxDiag alone.
  
  

If the issue continues, could you also let us know:

• Are you launching through Steam or the EA App?
• Does the game reach the main menu before the black screen, or does it happen immediately after launching?
• If it crashes, do you find any files under:
  • Documents\Battlefield 6\CrashDumps
  • Documents\Battlefield 6\Crash Reports
  • C:\ProgramData\EAanticheat\CrashDumps
    
    

Those logs can usually help narrow down what's happening beyond what the DxDiag shows. If there are, could you attach them?

EA_Shepard​ game is still crashing, after crash my pc screen froze and was forced to restart it.

I did not changed a single setting or update anything. 0 error codes, just crash and later pc restart.

BOTnarenko​ Did anything change before the first crash? Any updates on your system, the game, or any changes made beforehand?

If it was fine, and then not fine, did it have any error codes or messages?

Can you attach a DxDiag and your crash dump logs?

My game was running perfectly for 9 days, today it started crashing again. bf6 crash restarted my pc EA_Shepard​ 

My PC has not crashed because of BF6. I also never had a blue screen or anything similar. Battlefield simply never started and would close itself without any error message or explanation. Since applying the fix and contacting EA Support, Battlefield has been running without any issues.

i did the exact opposite. I removed everything related to ea app, bf6 and javelin anti cheat from windows defender, previously i had it configured just like you but it wasnt helping. pc was crashing with blue screen/dark screen after bf6 was closed by it self.

My Problem was after a season 3 update via Steam on 3. July. The Gamepopup starts and its searching for Updates. After that the Javlin Update began. It finished all Tasks an then it closed. After that, the Game Icon in Steam changes and i have the opportunity to start the Game again.

Solutions: (maybe with wrong translations.)

1. Go to Exploit-Savety -> Programmpropeties. Add the BF6.exe and the EAAntiCheat.ServiceLauncher.exe

Aktivate only the following two, on both apps. (Most online helps dont say it that explizit)

2. Go to your Steam Folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Battlefield 6) Start the EAAntiCheat.Installer.
I have deinstalled it an installed it.

3. Start Steam and the EA-App as Administrator with the Comatibility. (right klick on Desktop Icon)

4. Repair your Steam Game data. (there sould be 3 data) -> download and install...

5. Try to Start. I have done a restart of my computer, just in case. 

And then it worked. 

Things i also do:

-made the BF6 Startoption to "-DX12"
-downgrade my AMD software to 26.6.1
-Set the graphics to HYPR-RX in the AMD-Adrenalin Software.

I hoped it helped someone. It was an almost 2h Chat with the EA support with 4 Supporter. :D
Now back to the Frontline.

Great, check for BF6 update as I know one was imminent. Not there. Update Adrenalin + drivers, go to play BF6... 36GB update required... I could have sworn I had a restraining order on that Murphy person & their terrible "laws".

edit: The game still crashes with event log error: (Adrenalin 26.6.4)

Brightfarter​ You can speak to someone, you just have to go through certain flows. It is frustrating. For this one, are you currently using AMD or Nvidia?

I'm having the same problem. I haven't been able to log into the game for a week. Last Tuesday, I played the game until morning. The next day, it gets stuck on the black screen that appears after the “splash screen”—it won’t load the game and suddenly kicks me back to the EA menu. I’ve tried every possible solution. I’m going to lose my mind! I’ve spent 300 hours on this game, paid a fortune for it, and now I can’t even play the game that was working perfectly before the latest update!!

Hey, folks

This is an issue that we are aware of. When you get a chance, can you update the AMD Adrenalin software

Once that is installed, can you do a clean install of the AMD Graphics drivers?

Me pasa lo mismo.

Same . Was just playing yesterday and get on today. Seems like it’s going to boot. A black screen will come up top left corner then won’t start. And the stream app say play all over again. Please help!!!!

Thanks for the feedback! I had the same issue, hope this fix the problem. 

So I found the issue. It is the latest AMD Graphics Driver 26.6.2 I rolled back to 26.6.1 and I'm able to play again. Hope they get this fixed. 

Check your tray at the bottom of the screen.  Sometimes, after the black box in the upper left hand corner has opened, BF6 goes to an icon in the tray instead of opening on the full screen.  Why, I don't know.
