Game fairly smooth 180fps but after alt tabbing it suddenly runs perfectly

PC 180hz 1440 g-sync monitor, 5800x3d and 5070. Dlss  quality, runs fine capped 171fps The game feels good if a little blurry at times with a little input lag. On 2 occasions I’ve alt tabbed back into the game and it’s suddenly running amazing feeling and looking super smooth. Absolutely perfect. It should be running like this all the time but it’s not. 

The only thing I can narrow it down to is some kind of bug with the full screen or borderless mode. I NEED it to be running like this all the time now but I can’t reproduce it. Has anyone had a similar problem and found a fix.?
