Any time I navigate to the main spawn screen - be it after dieing, coming back from loadouts, etc. - the game freezes for a solid second. The game completely locks up, no network packets are sent or processed, my performance graphs all show the hit. This never happend before the Season 3 patch.
UPDATE: I can confirm that disabling Upscaling FSR resolved my issue! The game is simply smoother, faster and it doesn't bug out anymore. Just saying this started happening after last update. I also updated the driver around the same time so not sure which is causing the problem but I'm sure it's BF6 since i did a clean install.
Playing now with TAA which is not ideal but it's the best beneficial to me besides FSR. Hope this is resolved soon. I'm on 26.6.4 driver BTW.

Just saw this thread after researching for a couple of days on this issue. Ever since the season 3 update, the game keeps hanging/freezing when exiting a match. It freezes on the bf6 logo but goes back to the main menu after longer than usual. The problem is once i start a new match, it bugs me out during loading of the map and i have to quit the game in order to go back to normal. This was NOT happening before the big update a week or two ago. I also have AMD card, 9070xt. Drivers updated, Windows as well.
Will try to disable FSR and see how it goes. Just don't know what type of AA i should use so the game looks decent. I even uninstalled windows and did a fresh install but no luck.
Yeah I get the same. So annoying and bet it will take months to fix, if ever gets fixed.
Hi. I did today DDU of drivers and installed the newest one 26.6.4. It's worst than before that. After previous update freezing stopped, but then after 2 weeks they reapeared (no change in drivers or system). So I decided to DDU and the result is that freezes are longer than ever before. No idea what next. I could disable FSR but TAA is blurry.
Use XESS upscaler for now. It’s what I’ve been using until they fix this FSR problem. Play around with image sharpening in the driver and/or in game to alleviate some of the bluriness.
Great idea. For now, I’ll use Xess. It’s not FSR, but thankfully, it’s not as blurry as TAA.
Unfortunately (or as expected), update for season 4 didn't fix anything.
Nice to see that DLSS is the priority for Devs according to the changelog
When FSR will be fixed !?
Glad to find a solution here, I was wondering what was going on. I got a new card, and just installed the newest drivers. 6800XT on old drivers never had any issues.
Looks like I need to go back a few to solve the problem. Being a driver caused issue, I blame AMD more than EA. Such is life, this is why I never update my graphics drivers.
It freezes only if you use FSR Upscale Upgrade. Meaning, that it upgrades FSR 3.x to FSR 4.x. Disabling the AMD FSR Upscaling (upgrade) in AMD Adrenalin application will revert you to FSR 3.x version and there will be no problem. But why this is the problem since that long time, DICE?
I reverted back to 26.3.1 driver and all my fsr issues are gone. No freezes or crashes and Adrenalin says I’m using FSR. I think BF6 uses fsr natively so I think disabling fsr in the drivers but enabling ingame will still use FSR 4. I could be wrong though.
Just fyi for anyone who comes across this simply turning on FPS limiter solves this.
