How do I ping anything?

How do I ping anything?

What am I doing wrong?????????

I supposedly have the key bound to mouse wheel click. For both infantry and UI

Outside of being downed and pinging an enemy, I have not been able to ping a single thing in game.

I can't ping a  location,  person, an object, nothing. On the big map I can't ping at all. Like trying to mark a drop location.

All that ever happens is I bring up the useless wheel menu.

Yes, I have tried clicking faster/shorter, etc. NOTHING.

I.E. I have it bound for UI. But when I bring up the big map in redsec, there is no binding listed for ping. All other options show a key. But nothing for ping. It is bound to Ping/CommoRose(Hold) IIt is only bound to that in infantry and UI. Nothing else is using mouse wheel click.

HELP!!!!!

As far as I am concerned, these need to be made as separate binds. so that you can just ping something.
