Community ManagerHi there,
No worries, we can work through this step by step and see what gets you back into the game.
As a first step, please make sure Windows is fully up to date. Another player who encountered the same error reported that updating Windows resolved it for them.
If that doesn’t help, please try the following:
- Repair your game files. If you’re playing through Steam, you can follow Steam’s guide to verify the integrity of your game files.
- Reinstall EA Javelin anticheat.
- Repair or reinstall the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables.
- Perform a clean boot and try launching the game again to check whether any background software may be conflicting with EA Javelin anticheat.
Let me know how it goes. Thanks!
None of the above works , both BF6 and Battlefield 2042 won't launch
I clean reinstalled driver , cache reset ..no go

Thanks for the update. Let’s try a few more things.
- Try the workaround shared by another player:
- Sign in to Steam and the EA app.
- Temporarily disconnect your PC from the internet.
- Launch Battlefield 6 and allow EA Javelin anticheat to load.
- Once the game has launched, reconnect to the internet.
- Repair your Windows system files.
-
Check the Secure Boot State& TPM 2.0
- Try running the EA app and EA Javelin anticheat service as Administrator.
First, right-click the EA app and select Run as administrator. You can also test the following executable: C:\Program Files\EA\AC\EAAntiCheat.GameService.exe. Right-click it, go to Properties > Compatibility, enable Run this program as an administrator, and then try launching the game again. - Check for a BIOS update. Please be careful with this step and follow your motherboard manufacturer’s instructions exactly.
If none of the above helps, unfortunately, reinstalling Windows may be worth considering as a last resort. Thanks.
Great, this part actually got me over the Javelin hump, and both games work for now;

What can I do to prevent this from happening again?
Thank you
