PC - Xbox Controller recognized only on second boot every time

I would like to use my Xbox controller connected to my PC with a Xbox Windows dongle time to time to fly helis in BF.

For Xbox controller to be recognized, I have to launch the game twice back to back and have no idea why this is working or happening.

First launch from EA app, I get to home screen and keyboard is the main input and controller is not recognized. Then i quit the game and launch it again from the EA app and this time BF6 recognized the Xbox controller.

I do not have this pattern with no other games. As soon as I boot up the controller, the controller is recognized as expected in games.

Dude I have this issue too and it’s been driving me insane, it’s the only game that does it for me. Dying to figure this out because I’ve considered getting it on steam instead lmao

I have no idea why it works and why it happens. Googled all over the place.
