Ps5 Pro FPS drop

Returning to the game after a hiatus during season 1 I’ve been experiencing frame loss when panning the camera fast or through particles like smoke and the ambient smoke from different maps, this wasn’t an issue before.

sorry late response I didn’t get to try 1080p, going to see if the issues persists through the new update tonight and if so will give 1080p a shot.

Thanks for the reply. One other thing to test but probably not a good solution. Try playing at a lower console resolution. Just for testing purposes, try out 1080P or even 720P. Interested to see your results.

Just got done trying PSSR 2.0 and it didn’t make a noticeable difference.

I forgot to enable it unfortunately, I will try though. The drops seem to only occur sometimes, I had a few games the other day with no noticeable issues. Last night the issue returned for the duration of my play time unfortunately. Previously when the contaminated map dropped sometimes when opening the game it would be locked at 30 fps until it was restarted. If I have issues again tonight I will try restarting the application and see if that alleviates the issues. I also realized I had a setting called overdrive enabled on my monitor which is some sort of motion smoothing so I will also try disabling that and see what it results too. Have you had any other ps5 users report similar issues?

I will give this a try tonight, thank you for the response. Not completely sure how this will help with frame rate though? I was under the impression PSSR Is just for producing a higher image quality? I will report back with my experience.

You should probably enable PSSR 2 in your console settings if you haven't already. There is a good chance that will alleviate this issue somewhat. Let us know your results here.

    1. Update Your Console - Before PSSR 2 can be enabled, you'll need to be running system software version 26.02-13.00.00 or later. Go to Settings > System > System Software > System Software Update and Settings to check for the latest update, if you haven't already installed it.
    2. Open Screen and Video Settings - From the PlayStation 5 home screen, select the Settings gear icon in the top-right-hand corner, then scroll down and select Screen and Video.
    3. Navigate to Video Output - Make sure that Video Output is highlighted in the left sidebar, then scroll down through the list of technical settings until you reach an option labeled "Enhance PSSR Image Quality".
    4. Toggle "Enhance PSSR Image Quality" - Highlight Enhance PSSR Image Quality and switch the toggle to On to enable PSSR 2.

    Thank you.
