I never experienced this bug prior to the winter update. Every update since has failed to resolve the sound distorting terribly at random times. I was able to recreate the issue on multiple PS5 consoles using different headsets and controllers both wired and wireless. Anyone else experiencing this?
Yep, I have this bug. Sound is glitchy/crackling and distorted during heavy engagements, especially with explosions.
The distortion is recorded in gameplay recordings and is present no matter what device I watch the videos on.
It's independent of headset. Tuning the volume settings in-game or in PS5 system settings doesn't fix the issue. Neither do any of the other settings (Wartapes, default, etc. Doesn't matter.
My PS5 is hooked unto a 2018 LG 55UK6300PLB tv which sends an optical-out signal to my Marantz receiver. The fact that the bug is consistent in recordings on other devices makes me think this is a compression issue.
Yes. Same with me. Everything was great till this stupid update. I am unable to play as the sound is hurting my ears and sound like I am in a tunnel or underwater. My first EA game since the ps2. Garbage
