the account you're using to install has admin rights to the drive you're installing to, correct?

I have changed the admin rights on the specific folder BF6 is in but not the entire drive. Is that needed?

I have tried changing the right on all the folders and the drive but no changes so far. I am logged in on the admin user so this shouldn't matter in the first place right? No data is being saved. What am i doing wrong?

not sure why you would think data is not being saved. there is definitely some local data - e.g. your settings.

When you installed, you used an account with admin rights?

The reason i think settings are not being saved is because i have to redo the settings of BF6 every time i start up the game. So there is no local data being saved. I have only 1 account on my PC, it has all the rights and is indeed admin. Where are the settings files supposed to be, is there anything i can do myself to fix this?

Ah, you're saying there should be data being saved locally, but it's not being saved locally. That makes sense.

You should see a Battlefield 6 folder under "My Documents". However, you shouldn't have to do anything with it, if you installed with admin rights.

I don't see taht folder at all. I tried reinstalling BF6. Gave my user specific access to all folder for BF6 as well as the document folder and am running the program with admin rights but to no avail.

to be clear - on Windows 11 it's the "Documents" folder. That's where you're looking, correct?

I have looked in the Users\username\documents and the users\default\documents but no BF6 folders are there. i have tried looking for other problems with the folders but i have controlled folder access turned off and full rights on the folder so no reason why BF6 would not be able to make the folder.
